Note: Gaudete is pronounced: gow-day-tay

The reason it's worthwhile is that legendary version of it by Steeleye Span. :worship:

If anybody really wants, I'll do a translation - but I warn you, it's boring!

Latinists note: laeticiae is normal in the Middle Ages for laetitiae and concito is an obvious mistake for cantio.

We've only got those dodgy Catholic Latin scholars, who translated the original. I reckon you've come across the real ORIGINAL translation.

The King's Singers have a great version of this (I've sung it too.) Now it would be great if they would do this version sometime.
