Well, we don't want that to happen. I am sure we can find someone who can fix the problems with the site, and if we pointed out the bugs to the fixer, we could get the site somewhat hacker-proofed.

IT people are like plumbers. You are desperate to have them arrive and stop the flood, then you are desperate to have them come back again to sort out the mess they made. That's a generalisation. I just found this
the begining post is a sort of sad truth that one has to learn to live with in this old world- so many of those that scream religious tolerance- are only screaming for their religion- everyone else go suck eggs.
I belong to the anthropology club here at UALR and every day we do a Darwin Day thing( yes I know some think he is a false prophet) and we do a tee shirt and I make it a habit to keep mine in good shape and wear the heck out of it- I live in a small very baptist denominated town and they actually huff and hiss behind me in line at the grocery
but I just smile, stand up very straight, and tug on my shirt tail to make sure they see it all- sad thing is that I am one of the few ppl in their nice little town that would actually stand up for them to allow them to practice their beliefs in peace I only ask the same.
I don't see a big problem with Darwin and FSM going together- after all I think that evolution is FSM's mechanism for creation-just look at the way pirates went from being lowly scavenging sea slugs to absolute mega movie stars(Depp)
So don't back down- don't get hurt- of course I think Auntie Dee Dee would come and do some whacking if needed and if she was up to it-but let ppl know - even quietly and symbolicly that you exist and that you have the right to speak about what you believe and feel.

I try to keep an arsenal of self-defense comments for all scenarious up my sleeve at all times for such comments though rarely have to use them as my school is a somewhat-tolerant bunch that rarely gets into discussions of religion.

If you're school is doing things like showing predjiduce against the aformentioned orginizations you said were shut down maybe you should take it up with someone... That's one of the times you get to smirk as the officials squirm trying to justify it with crapsense.

Of course that's just my deap seated hatred for the projection of personal values on public granted powers.

I've read Darwin. I've read more recent writings on evolution. I've also read the Bible.

Taking all sources of information and analyzing them completely, there is noting that i've found that contradicts the message of the Bible in evolution, or that contradicts the lessons of evolution in the Bible. They are not mutually exclusive.

Of gourse you must have the faith to believe that God, not Man, directs the story of the Bible, and that man, in his infinite stupidity, has chosen to limit God to what some loud and nagging people consider 'possible'. I learned a LONG time ago that it's wrong to limit God to my (or any other) human imagination. Some people never learn that.

And once you move away from the King James Version of the Bible, there is so much more to learn about the Bible (asd so much less to learn about British History.) Yes, there ARE people that actually believe that the 'King" in King James was a biblical era king. (And some of them probably believe that the world is flat and the Universe is Geocentric.)

The breadth and depth of human stupidity is amazing. I'm still waiting for the cosmos to give me permission to slap some sense into the stupid ones...
