The Pirates! in an Adventure With Scientists!

Postby Adelbert » Wed Jul 05, 2006 6:37 pm

Since this is an FSM forum, I was wondering if anyone had read The Pirates! In an Adventure With Scientists.

Personally, I found it hilarious, and plagued many a friend and family member with quotes from it. I literally started crying with laughter at more than one point.

Argh! have you read the sequel yet? In an adventure with whaling!
I just love the footnotes!

I'm saving the sequel for my summer holidays.

The footnotes are absolutely classic. I'm pretty sure they're an "homage" to Terry Pratchett's books, but I'm not complaining. They are very funny.

It seems that a third book has been commissioned, under the working title of "The Pirates! In an Adventure with Communists". Sheer genius.

That book was so funny! I have in an Adventure with Scientist and with Ahab.

They were pirates dressed like women dressed like scientists.
