IMAGINE BEER VOLCANOS

Postby manningda on Mon Sep 19, 2005 6:41 pm

Perhaps this isn't as obvious a fit as I thought, but if we're going to "borrow" from song-writers, why not borrow from one of the greatest...

Thanks to Mr. John Lennon for the melody.

If you can interpret my phrasing this is a pretty good fit.

PS: Anyone willing to put this to music would be kind to offer a copy. Be neat to hear the lyrics actually put to use.

:fsm_worried:

IMAGINE BEER VOLCANOS

Imagine beer volcanos
Its easy if you try
Stripper factories in heaven
Built on clouds up in the sky
Imagine spaghetti monsters
Flying through the air

Whoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo

Imagine declining pirates
As the planet gently warms
Polar ice caps melting
From a lack of pirate wars
Imagine Spaghetti Monsters
Flying through the air

Whoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo

Imagine evolution
Darwin charting apes
Direct correlations
And facts neatly arranged in their place
Imagine Spaghetti Monsters
And other deities

Whoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo

They say we are the dreamers
Well we’re not the only ones
However we fuu-uu—lll-lly admit
Evolution may have a better one
"Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear."

That brought a tear to my eye . I'm not even joking (although it might be because of a larger than usual chili powder to other ingredients ratio in my chip dip ).
This part is espicially moving:

They say we are the dreamers
Well we’re not the only ones
However we fuu-uu—lll-lly admit
Evolution may have a better one

Great job, hope theres more to come!
May your sauce be eternally warm! :fsm:
Temporary signature.
Something better coming sometime after right now. When I find time. Or I stop wasting my time. Whichever.

That touched my heart.....
Why is it that countries must always jump to war, when so many matters of foreign affairs can be solved over a game of chess?

More Lennon and Macca

Postby black bart on Mon Oct 03, 2005 11:33 am

This one also borrows from the beatles (to the tune of The Long and Winding Road with apologies:

The long and winding pasta that trails from your spoon
Will never disapear
I've seen that noodle before it always leads me here
Leads me to your room

The wild and juicy mushrooms from which the sauce falls away
And the tasty meat balls I must eat today
Why leave me noodleless, let me know the way
Many times I've hungered and many times I've cried
Cooking the perfect pasta, I've tried and tried and tried
And still I'm coming back, to your long and winding pasta
You are the Lord of Marinara you are the master
Don't leave me dribbling here, give me balls and pasta
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

To the tune of "Let it Be" by the Beatles

When I find myself in times of trouble,
FSM comes to me
touching me with noodles
Let it be, let it be

And in my hour of darkness, he is flying there in front of me
Touching me with noodles
Let it be, let it be

Let it be let it be
Let it be, let it be
touching me with noodles, Let it be

Very impressive.

And it kinda works. Not too bad.

I played it on the piano, singing the new lyrics...it could work.

Thats it. We need to make a CD of hymn/praise songs and sell them.
You know, I never really did like pasta.
