Why spreading the word will be difficult.

While I do my best to spread the word, I have not met with much success (lots of interest but not much belief).

I have today come across an article that might explain why.

According to this, belief in general is declining, especially in countries where the population feels reasonably secure in their lives. How can we overcome this (short of Crusades and the like)?

Was also very disappointed that the figures for Pastafarians over the same time period were not discussed. Does anybody else have the figures?
