I find that people are interested in the serious stuff as well (of course, the 'pirate, strippers, pasta' thing works as well). As I have said before, most of my friends like the idea of the FSM. In fact, the only one who is opposed to the idea is a conservative Christian. Nothing against him, just an interesting fact.

I usually show people the pamphlet first, they get into it, then I explain the deeper meaning.

Hmm... I lost count after 10. I know that some of those also went on to tell their friends also. :D As of yet, I have not used the pamphlet, but a few of them I have shown the Canonical writings to. They are now fellow Pastafarians! (One of them is a Midget, I have shown him the way of the noodle.)

I printed out that letter and have people read it, and if they are interested, i give them a pamphlet. My science teacher actually liked FSMism, especially the graph of Global Warming and the number of Pirates.

Nice work, everyone!

Pastafarianism does spread, you tell friends, those friends tell friends....................

It's a wonderful system. :fsm:

I'm afraid that if I launch right into the serious stuff, they'll be turned away, finding it boring.

Oy! Try explaining Hyper Spaghetti Monsterism to people who haven't heard of the FSM... I usually lose them right after "imagine putting your hand through a piece of paper..." :?

That might be a good start on my AP Physics teacher, who does believe in ID. He tried to convince me that relativity somehow accounted for the huge carbon-dating/biblical discrepancies.

Yesterday i converted a pentecostle girl i know. She also has several of the same thought proceses many here seem to have on idealism. She has seen the light, and has now been touched by his noodley appendage.

I think that ID is possible, and even plausible (As plausible as the Flying Spaghetti Monsterism, anyway) but I know that ID is not science.

Relativity. Yeah.................

I keep trying but people ask "how is your FSM"? It's hard to convince them the FSM belongs to them too.
