Nice job on the avatar, ADOS. If I tried to draw a cat with a computer program it would probably come out looking a lot like a box. And because I'm Olympic-quality color blind it would be the wrong color, too.

OK, now let's look at four dimensions on the blackboard.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Almighty Doer of Stuff wrote:Check out my new avatar! It's a 100 pixel x 100 pixel, 8 color pixel artwork I made! It depicts Ashley's cat, the late, great Picasso. It's based on a photograph, but I did take some creative liberties with it. I made it by hand, looking at the photo on my right monitor while I drew in GIMP with my left monitor. Something nice to remember him with, I think.

My avatar will probably change around Valentine's Day, because I made a similar 100x100, 8 color picture for Valentine's Day. Not quite as pretty though.

Very nicely drawn, ADoS! I hope you don't mind, I've copied it so I can put it here for posterity (when you change your avatar, the above post won't make much sense):

I would just like to let David H. know that Sarcozy is fine (he's a cuddly toy frog) in spite of the threat from Eric Cantona!

Milo now understands the words "walk" and "out", and has even picked up that when we spell "O.U.T." or "W.A.L.K.", we are talking about taking him out for a walk. We have now resorted to talking about "canine perambulation", but I'm sure he will pick up on that eventually. I think we're going to run out vocabulary fairly soon.

Shhh!! She Who Must Be Obeyed knows nothing of our secret life when she is out at bookgroup or hanging out with FlickrFriends. We can never divulge his secret identity...

"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

Just spotted this. Good news, Bart, but he'll never win the election now France has lost its AAA rating. :fsm_rock:

I made pictures of the late, great Scamp the cat, and the late, kind-of-lousy Jimmy the budgerigar (along with the not-late Cookie the cockatiel). I'm afraid to post them though, because some Bulgarian dickweed stole my old Jolly Roger off my personal website, despite the unnecessary but nevertheless posted copyright notice, and submitted it to Bobby as his own work. It's on the main page. Qwerty kindly emailed Bobby to ask that it be removed, since Bobby routinely ignores everything I say to him. Hopefully Qwerty won't be blacklisted as well by simple virtue of being associated with me. :furious:
