Weather here has been bipolar at best. One minute, sunshine, but give it a second, and it'll turn into a raging thunderstorm. Impossible to leave the house without a car or an umbrella and expect to stay dry.

Adelaide was one day of Spring, followed by eleven months or so of hellish hot Summer, one day of Autumn and about a week of mild, pleasant Summer. During which the natives would wrap up in fur coats and sit shivering under heat lamps complaining bitterly about the cold if the thermometer dropped below about 20C. I'd be in a short-sleeved T-shirt (I'm sweltering over 23C) and I'd get really odd looks…

Here in Canberra we have a moderate Winter, but only at night-time. It drops to -3C to -6C and it can be quite frosty frst thing in the morning. During the day it is either pleasantly warm or pleasantly cool. Further up in the aptly-named Snowy Mountains they get a real Winter. Try Googling the temperature statistics for the even-more-aptly-named town of Perisher.

Here's been quite nice the last few days, hasn't tried to drown or cook me recently. I'm off to Brizzle tomorrow and expect the city to be turned into a swimming pool to celebrate my return

We had a Tornado about 5 miles from my house today.
A big one looking at what the news showed.
Lot's of stormy weather around here today. High, high humidity. I can hear boomers off in the distance right now.
