I learned to play guitar from Bert Weedon's 'Play In A Day'. He had a no-nonsense approach to playing music and teaching music, and he teated music as a job rather than treating himself as a star.

Still, 91 is a good age, and he has a fantastic legacy behind him.

Wow, that's quite a list of recent deaths. William Finley was a quirky fellow, but I did like the films i've seen him in. Dick Clark was a legend, although far more so to my Murkin cousins. Wasn't he a bit of a dick in real life, or is that a falsehood? Levon and Burt... :cry:

At least people seem to have stopped committing suicide there now...if you remember there was a series of suicides of young people there a few years back.

Skatalites double bassist Lloyd Brevett, 80, he was old and full of ganja. Less flippantly, he had a stroke in March, shortly after his son was murdered.
