First official FSM Caption Challenge!

Postby Capellini on Wed Feb 27, 2008 4:30 pm

This is a game I ran on a board I admined a long time ago, and it was amazingly popular. Seeing how much people like the crazy caption threads, it will probably work here, too.

This is how it works: Those people interested in playing respond to this thread saying you're interested, and the first 16 members will get to play. Those members will be broken into 4 teams of 4, a picture will be posted, and the teams will have a certain amount of time to COLLABORATE on a caption for the photo. Then we'll run a poll, and the teams with the top three captions will move on to round 2.

Round 2 will run similarly to round 1, although the teams will be reshuffled, and a new picture will be posted. At the end of the second poll, the winning team will compete head to head in . . .

Round 3. The four members of the winning team from round 2 will have one final photo to caption, and the winner will be Caption Challenge Champion. Prize includes bragging rights and a special rank.

Get it? Questions? Want to play? Once we have 16 members ready to play, we'll start. And if it looks like 16 is an overly high estimate, I'll close the sign-up early and rearrange the numbers to make it work.
True terror lies in the futility of human existence.

"The only freedom deserving the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest." - John Stuart Mill

No!

I don't want Pirateguy involved!

(Not unless it gives us all a chance to kick him around, make him wear a dunce's cap, and generally treat him as a figure of fun.)

But this is Cap's show, so if she insists, we have to let him stay.

You could always suspend him.

Morally reprehensible, but it would work.

I hope you're on the recieving end of an improbability equation wherein something happens to you that's as unlikely as Rob Schneider winning a best actor Oscar on the same day Michael Jackson single handedly captures Osama Bin Laden. ~ Rainswept

I'll do it
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

I humbly request not to be put on the team involving both PG and CQ. The resulting battle of dulled wits would make me an alcoholic.
