I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

I think that strange man in the picture must be having some kind of allergic reaction to shellfish or something.

PG, it looks like you got easy! Just LOOK at what those crabs can do to a guy!
Some 5 or 6 or 7 billion years from now, the Sun will become a red giant star and will engulf the orbits of Mercury and Venus and probably the Earth. The Earth then would be inside the Sun, and some of the problems that face us on this particular day will appear, by comparison, modest. On the other hand, since it is 5,000 or more million years away, it is not our most pressing problem. It is, though, worth bearing in mind. It has theological implications. - Carl Sagan, Master of Understatement

1: Catholicism IS "plain old Christianity." Protestants were after.

2: This is the basic theology that both of them share. The differences are in who the leader of the church is, how we communicate with God, how God communicates with us, and other various minor theological issues. The ideas in the pic are shared by both.

How?

Transubstantiation isn't a Protestant belief. I'm an atheist btw.

Meh, granted, missed that part.

Also, how does you being an atheist matter?

I predict that, within 10 posts, someone will post the atheist version of that macro. For the lulz.

Why does everyone assume I'm female?

Beside that vagina deal in another thread. But I'm still male in my mind.
