If I can just keep out of the Dollis Hill loop, I'll get Mornington Crescent in 6 moves.

Aldwych.

I figured my opening move would have made that obvious, although I admit that it's possible to make the same opening move, even though it's significantly less strategically useful, under the Proletarian Theatre 8 and Kappa4 rulesets as well.

Just be glad I didn't invoke the International Player Clause of 1998, or I would have taken San Francisco.

I call foul. You're nowhere near the Green Line anymore, and you didn't even invoke the Great Tripe Fiasco Judgement of the now-legendary Clark-Wilkinson rivalry match.

I therefore get to take Swiss Cottage by invoking the Clamdigger's Folly.

You can't. We're in the Dollis Hill loop, which supersedes any and all other rules until we get out.

Andy should have called Dollis Hill, but since he didn't, you must.

Not what I meant. He called it, entering us in the Dollis Hill loop, then I took Aldwych (always a dangerous move), the next move should have been Dollis Hill again.

Oh, of course. Sorry, it's almost 11:30 PM and I'm a bit out of it. Maybe I'll play better in the morning(ton). (Ha ha, I slay myself!)

Cancel that Swiss Cottage move then. I call Dollis Hill.

It's a shame, I'd have liked to move to Swiss Cottage...

I can get out of the Dollis Hill loop by the fact that it is a butcher's Monday and from there the only move I can make is onto Piccadilly. I can see Morningotn crescent in 3 moves.

Ah, but not if I call the Great Tripe Fiasco Judgement of the now-legendary Clark-Wilkinson rivalry match.

(Thanks, Doer of Stuff, I wouldn't have remembered that if you hadn't brought it up.)

That'll mean you can only move counterclockwise to stations that don't begin with "M" for the next 2 turns.

Kraken

Postby black bart on Mon Nov 19, 2007 5:33 pm

What in the name of the Kraken is going on here? Can I just plump for Mansion House or do I need to know the rules?
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

I think the only "rule" is, you need to be a guy who hasn't seen any "crescent" for far too many mornings.
