MMORPG's

Postby Zankou on Sun Jun 03, 2007 11:03 pm

Does anyone here play an MMORPG?

I dabble in Runescape, but I don't pay for it. That's just silly.

Edit:Crud...i had intended to put three options, with one in 13375p34k...for the obsessive.

I agree. I only just started playing again, like, two days ago...It got really boring a few months ago.

I thought about it, but I think my account was stolen. I have been too lazy to know for sure.

I would play WoW but I have standards and I don't want to be sucked into that.

I have played:

EverQuest
Dark Age of Camelot
EverQuest 2
World of Warcraft

...though none obsessively. My wife plays WoW with me, which is fun (we only recently acquired a 2nd computer, further evidence of my non-obsession). Also, I have no problem paying for a game subscription. It's the same as renting 4 or 5 movies in a month. In fact, I've never understood people who say they "won't pay to play a game," like it's a matter of principle. You pay for things you enjoy, whether once (a trip to the movies) or over time (magazine subscriptions, internet connections, cell phone service, cable / satellite tv, etc.)

Since we are going for full disclosure, I have played:

Runescape,
Dragonfable,
AdventureQuest,
Sherwwod Forest.

The last two i played for about...two minutes, Dragonfable I played for abouta month, it was a bit more interesting, and Runescape I play now, when I am bored.

I was some version of Zankou on all of them, in fact, on most of the games and other sites i login to.

Runescape is Zankou55, if anyone is interested.

I've been trying to get a free account from someone I know, he has a few extras, but he keeps skipping off to Colorado and Tahoe and places like that; I'm working on cornering him, but it ain't easy.

I'm doin' some 9dragons now on top of WoW, and I play a multitude of games that either aren't online or are but aren't MMO. You really need an obsessive option.

I played quite a bit of FFXI for a time. When I quit I was amazed to find just how much time there suddenly was in the day. :o
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.
