Ninjas rely on stelthy, silent kills. Pirates use yelling and intimidation before they charge. There is no way to add these together. Same thing for the weponry. Ninjas like I have shurikens and katanas, along with other lesser-known impliments. Pirates use scimitars, which are actually fairly similar to katanas, but the sidarms they carry are far to loud to be carried by any self-respecting ninja.

Do you guys just know both fighting styles, and use them when nessassary? If so, how you handle the different outfits. If not, the same question is there, is there any outfit? Some black of pirate regalia?

It seems to me that you're emphasizing the differences rather than the similarities. But you are right, some parts of the fighting style are different. But that's not all. For me, the breakdown is such: My fighting style is very Ninja, but my lifestyle is very Pirate. Does that help?

You were all bragging about killing thousands of monsters simultaneously.

That's not really that hard. All I would need is a well perforemd spell.

As the Leader of the Knights, I command a veritable army of hundreds of fully trained, powerful, magical Elves.

I could wipe you out. I would lose dozens of knights, but you would fall eventually.

Our swords are forged of Oreichalcos, and the hilts are gemstones coloured to match the wavelengths of our magic.

We have the ability to wrap someone elses mind within ours, and crush it.

Plus, we have dragons.

Not to be a dick or anything, but Earthrise, could you please split this thread?

I know these aren't literary masterpieces, but I do put some thought into them, and the secondary discussion that has cropped up might lead some to believe the original topic has been abandoned, and stop viewing.

So, if you could split the secondary discussion into its own thread, I would appreciate it.Image

Which discussions am I separating here?

Well, the original topic, FSTDWYB, and all posts which either outline a method for staving off boredom, and reply/comment on such post.

separate from, all the posts which are pretty much a running-spam discourse on zombies-wizard-cyborgs-elfs-ninjas-pirates-etc.

I went through the pages, it seems the divergence began at about page four, and I could easily pick out the off-topic posts.(Unfortunately, this forum is only allowing me to edit/delete my own posts...which is a real bother at times.)
Hence, I must bother you with it....
(of course, I would include this post, yours above it, and mine above that as off-topic, too.)

Nah. :D

I'm using that as the title as a tribute to Ken! He's the one who said it.

Ninja Nodja

Postby black bart on Wed Jun 27, 2007 9:07 am

The trouble with being a Ninja Pirate is this:

Ninja's I believe rely on stealth...Pirates have peg legs...the knocking noise as you approach someone from behind gives the game away!

I too, have adopted the ways of the Ninja-Pirate.

As such, I can kill millions instantaneously now.

Silence

Postby black bart on Mon Sep 10, 2007 6:06 am

The day I adopt the ways of the Ninja-Pirate (even though I would almost certainly look good) will be the day I purchase a silent parrot, sneak up behind Frank Bough and shout 'They're Off'!
