bascially an all FF thread, but I have a question. anyone know what system Final Fantasy 1 first came out for?


also, who do you think the best villian is in the FF series? I vote for Kuja, wtih Sephiroth a good ways back in second place.

I must disagree. Sephiroth is most definitely the best villain. He just has that style that hasn't been seen in villains for a long while in most any game. He is probably on of the best developed one as well. He has a great back story, and you can almost feel for him, if he weren't quite so evil.

In North America, FF1 was for the NES... I still own mine.

My favourite FF villian is Kefka... He poisons his own troops, murders his allies in cold blood, and tears apart the world itself, all for his own gain. Gotta love it.

which game was kefka in? It was like 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 I think.

He's not an idiot, he just wants power for himself over everything. When anything gets in his way, he destroys it in the most brutal manner possible. It's a great game, with an excellent story to it.

I'm so pissed off because my FF9 save file; my ONLY FF9 save file, is at the part RIGHT before fighting a boss in Kuja's palace after the team splits up and some of them go to olivert. point is, I'm supposed to light a candelabra to initiate the boss fight. but there is absoloutly NO speech bubble with the (!) in it anywhere near where its supposed to be. I even checked in a guidebook, but I could never reproduce the image! anyone know whats wrong? I'd hate to have to restart (its on disk 3 ) but I may have to.

You should be glad, I can't even get to that point in the game anymore. My SNES got jealous that FF abandoned Nintendo and threw it's AC adapter at my FF9's 2nd disk, shattering it.

But I believe I had the same problem, though I can't remember how I fixed it.

I'll mess around with it and try to fix it... there might be a candelabra I forgot or the exact spot is precise and obscure. its a really bad camera angle.

Beatrix is a cheating whore. I was totally kicking her ass but oh no she can't lose. I was hitting her with Bio for over 1,000 damage each time, all my people had regeneration, shell, and protect and we were taking it to her like it was funny.

Of course now I can't do anything else because I've reached the end of the first disk.

I'd lend you mine, but I don't think I can. plus I'm gonna start playing again... eventually. maybe over spring break or something. I spend so much time here nowadays.

beatrix kicks ass, its annoying. luckily, most of your fights with her are SUPPOSED to end with you coming to 1 hp. in the climax of disc two (methinks) you can use beatrix teamed up with rusty. rusty sucks, but beatrix has such awesome power.

whats really funny is actually naming ol' rustbucket Rusty.

I hate how Beatrix was talking sh!t to me too, calling my people pathetic when they were curb stomping her like it was funny. I trained my people up to level 26 before that fight (Freya was at about lvl 30 because of "Level Up") and I had every Chocograph treasure you could get up to that point. She couldn't do crap to me until that whole 1 hp attack.

yeah, thats the odd bit. you kind of HAVE to fail in that battle.

try doing an eBay search for FF9 disc 2. you can probably get it without buying the rest of the CD's.
