What are your favorite "reason" channels on You Tube (or other), and why?

Aron Ra: Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism
He can intone more polysyllabic words per minute --even off the cuff -- than anyone else, and do so with conviction to build a formidable argument. His nickname is "the Texas Tank" and he does tend to roll right over people making poor arguments.
Also, he has way better hair than Edward Cullen. :haha:

Seth Andrews: The Thinking Atheist
Afterlife is one of his best, IMHO. The podcasts are a bit of a mixed bag due to being part commentary, part call-in shows. But his videos are thoughtful, well written, and have very high production values.

Truth Surge: Excavating the Empty Tomb is a substantive, well-researched, well-produced series. His music videos are quite nice, too, even the satirical covers. :fsm_rock:

Wildwood Claire: Her "Coffee with Claire" series features often painful clips from anti-science, anti-reason demagogues, and she doesn't sugar-coat her contempt. Her Geodyssey series is entertaining and informative on an academic subject that has not been 'popularized' for the general public.
I will honor Monkey in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.

what is reasontube?

I do like darkmatters2525 and cultofdusty on youtube in that order. darkmatters2525 has the funniest cartoons available. cultyofdusty doesn't seem to be a very smart guy but he cracks me up. these two characters are atheist thinkers on youtube. I don't know if that is what you meant by ReasonTube or not.

is ReasonTube a whole separate entity outside of youtube?

Alas, Nancy, Pieces cannot answer you. Our beloved Pieces O'Nine passed away some months back, and now undoubtedly sits in a chaise longue at the foot of the beer volcano, doing her level best to drink it dry. Coming as it did so close on the heels of the loss of Black Bart, our group was reeling for quite a while. As a community, I feel we are still somewhat in mourning, though things have started to liven up again lately.

As to ReasonTube, I think it is a term Pieces coined herself as a catch-all descriptor for this category of anti-nonsense dialogues.
"Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens."
("Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.")
-- Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805)
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
-- Philip K Dick

OK, now let's look at four dimensions on the blackboard.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

I thought that was what she meant. I confirmed by looking at some of the references in her post.

Are you familiar with darkmatters2525 or cultofdusty?

I am not, but perhaps Tigger or Roy or Griffin or Cardinal Fang might be. They are much more worldly than I.

^ What he said.

I like to think Pieces will be demanding a bigger headdress and Bart is making awful puns :idiot:
