life is too short to not sing - even if you can not carry a tune to save your fsm blessed soul

you are like a hurricane,
there is a calm in your eyes, and I'm gettin blown away
there is somewhere safely where the feeling stays
I want to love you but I'm gettin blown away - blown away"

Life is too short. My babies are seventeen today. Where did the time go?

Life is also too short to not have blue hair

Life is too short not to admire Tig's blue hair.

It's also too short not to tell someone that you love them.

Life's too short to do a physics assignment instead of going out for beers with your dad. I didn't realise exactly how much I missed having him around until he randomly showed up on my doorstep and told me to get dressed because we were going out.

Your dad rocks, El...

Life is too short to be a non-rocking dad.

Life is too short. I have just learned that my future daughter-in-law's mother has liver cancer.

I'm so sorry, Tig. I wish her the best and hope for a complete recovery.

Will pass on your wishes, thank you.

It's secondary from cervical cancer treated last year. 3% survival rate. Hoping that she is in that 3%.

Unfortunately she also has a partially collapsed lung. The test results will be available Wednesday.

Thank you, Farf.

She is insisting that we go ahead with the wedding plans because she really needs something to look forward to right now. So we are going ahead and will expect her to be there. With me on the wrong side of the planet, my son needs a mother-in-law to keep him in line and I have to meet her so that we can exchange notes on our respective offspring.

So she has got to be well enough to travel.

Otherwise I suppose I had better start looking at the freighter schedules for June/July.
