I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

What's really funny is that I could change it back, if I wanted to.
True terror lies in the futility of human existence.

Malcolm Reynolds is my co-pilot.

"The only freedom deserving the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest." - John Stuart Mill

The question is...does he want it changed?

No, the question is, do I want to change it?

And, moreover, how could one learn the answer to this question?

Simple. Look to see if it has changed. If not, then she doesn't want to.

True...but...

*wishes*

If only there were some other way...

Some mechanism by which ideas, thoughts, and concepts could be conveyed, from one organism to another, some(for want of a better word), communication....

Probably just a pipe dream.

Better to keep each to our dark compartment, twisting in doubts, guessworks, and paranoid phantasies.
Uncomfortable for the twistee, perhaps a delicious taste of puppet-mastery for the twister?...

But no, that is carrying the gambit too far, eh?
No one here is so petty and small as to need to hang others on tenterhooks(or would that be question-hooks?), feeling the false power of the witholder of information.

(Don't look at the man behind the curtain!)

Anyhow, enough speculation.(is that from the same root as speculum?...perhaps a little examination is in order, might satisfy most of my curiosity.....)

I have to go crawl in an attic, dragging cat5 behind me like a thin tail, that a local citizen might move his phone, fax, and computer from the bedroom he shares with his good wife, to an unused bedroom, and henceforth refer to it as his "home office"*

Then to Scottsdale, to do the same exact thing, but in a jeweler's new store.(I will try to stuff my pockets with stray gems.)

By dark compartment, are you referring to the outside privvy? I get most of my best ideas out there in the dark dank brick compartment of bodily relief...so much time to think and reflect...so little paper!

Last I checked, he hadn't even asked me to change it.

The funny thing though is that my Mom does peruse these boards from time to time. She also has an FSM fish on her car.

But the question is... does she know what name you go by?

Let's work together to keep the present inevitable.

So yeah, I went and got a blog.
