^they disappeared around the time that debit cards became popularized and 'savings' became 'spendings'. If you were going to keep your money around, the banks needed you to "buy" investments from them. Simply increasing in value above the rate of inflation does NOT = profit (that's a dirty lie. they still profit plenty. just gotta gouge those last few % outta ya is all)

We opened one in our town at our seedy downtown mall they're trying to "Revive"
Now for $3 you can watch a movie and have them ask you to buy concessions 10 times between the ticket window and your seat.
