Man now you've got 80's music in my head. Don't think anyone has mentioned the biggest band in the world at the end of the 80's....

giving in to temptation, again

80's music - so much to remember

I have a personal attachment to the message bands - U2, of course - but my heart belongs to

The Fixx - Cy, Jamie, Rupert and Adam, the drummer, with that blond hair falling in his eyes. Lost count of the number of their concerts I went to and hours on the floor with my ear next to the speaker.

Most know "One Thing Leads to Another" but there are "Stand or Fall", "Sinking Island", "Built for the Future" and the haunting music , lyrics and video of "Red Skies Tonight".

Things change, a current low interest loan car advertisement is using the Fixx Lyrics from "Saved By Zero" - :(

I was a teenager in the 90's but 80's music was so good, even the bad stuff...

I'm completely addicted to listening to 80's music at the moment, Flock of Seagulls, Cutting Crew, Kenny Loggins....
I am a product of massive consumption- it's not my fault it's how I'm programmed to function

I like Robert Palmer's backing group in this one:

You can't see the bass's neck, but did anyone else notice that the guitarists never changed what chords they were playing? It's like, here's a guitar, hold it like this, now look like a fembot.

80's music is inescapable! I sat down to research a paper for my geology class, and as soon as I look the location up, wiki listed the famous people from that island, #1 was....

Arrow ~ Hot Hot Hot

Okay...not to be nitpicky but a lot of you are actually listing 90's music, but I won't hold it against you.

Fueled By Coffee definitley hit the nail on the head with The Safety Dance.

A double header....HUngry like the wolf and Rio by Duran Duran

Eddie Murphy-Party all the time

Lional Ritchie-Dancin on the Ceiling
-Stop using Jesus as an excuse for being a narrow minded bigot.
-Music was her life, the lyrics were her story.
-Be careful what you say, it may remind me of a song that needs to be sung.
-GOT JESUS? I thought you had him....shit!
-Why do people with closed minds always open their mouths?
-My pit bull is my co-pilot.
-To err is human; to ARRGGHHH is pirate!
-Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that killing people is wrong?
-Well behaved women rarely make history.
-Laughter: When a smile has an orgasm
-I'm not so good at the advice; can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

OK, so not an actual, made to be a video video, and yet still one of the absolute best videos from the 80's:

Marty McFly ~ Johnny B. Goode

Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet....

Oh, another dubious classic: Here I Go Again by Whitesnake.

Edit: Oh, yeah. This isn't an actual music video, rather a film clip, but Magic Dance by David Bowie definitely ranks up there.

I agree.

Yup, that be their names; I remember "Cry" especially. They managed to pull off morphing before the computer technology for it was available.
