True, I suppose I didn't notice it except with Nolan 'cause he makes more big budget, widely advertised movies. Not that the Coen Brothers are indie or anything, but just the way I think about the Batman movies and the Prestige and all. They're still spring/summer entertainment flicks, as opposed to the slew of Oscar nominees that get released around fall/winter.

This looks like an interesting horror film. Bitter Feast: A chef kidnaps an influential and snarky food blogger after said blogger writes a particularly scathing review of the chef's work. He then forces the blogger to perform basic cooking tasks, and if the blogger delivers anything less than perfection, he's subjecting to bloody, painful torture.

No, but funny enough the influence for the film was a review of one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants by the NY Times' Frank Bruni.

Mario Batali has a small role in the film though.

Any relation to the books by Ursula K. LeGuin? If so, I may have to finally read them.

Nice to see a director standing up to the studios against the overhyped fad of 3D. More often than not, the process just ruins the artistic quality of films.

:stupid: Going to see it this afternoon. We have taken my son and niece to see every one so far. When we went to see Philosopher's Stone, he was 7 and she was 10. He is now 16 and she is 19. We're determined to make it to the last one.

I want to wait until it comes out on DVD, but I think I'm outvoted on this one.
