Battle of the Comic Book Heroes!

I totally ripped this idea off of Rainswept, obviously.

Who's the most badass Comic Book Hero. Why? Who's the lamest? Again, why?

I picked Watchmen because IMHO it was/is the best damn comic yet written . Rorshack deserved a better fate .

You should be able to choose more than one.

I picked Iron Man as he has the best song made in his honour. My next choice would have been Gambit, from the X-Men. Exploding playing cards is cool.

I agree, but I don't know how to arrange that.

I voted for The Tick because nigh-invincibility would allow him to stand toe-to-toe with anybody else on that list. But to be honest, I could make an argument for and against all of them.

Superman's probably the safest bet, but I hate him so goddamn much. I hate Superman more than anybody that I hate in real life, how insane is that?

Depends on criteria.

In DC I lean toward Superman from the DC One Million storyline, after he's lived till the 853rd century and spent all that time getting more and interesting powers.
Image
In Marvel I lean toward Mad Jim Jaspers, who could alter everything in existence with a thought.

Now if the question is which hero is my favorite, I'm gonna go with Nightwing. He's a younger, more naturally athletic version of Batman, plus he actually nails lots of super-heroines, and doesn't have all the freaky baggage Bats does.

If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere committing evil deeds, an it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. So can Franklin Richards (son of Fantastic Four's Reed Richards) and the Scarlet Witch.

You left out Nate Grey & Hyperstorm. My money is on Jim.

1/3 of the reason I hate him.

Dude, the Joker is one of the best villains around. He has no powers whatsoever, he's just a grade-A psychopath with a vicious streak a mile wide.

Agreed, except Captain America was merely replaced with another dude. You've got to love a superhero who's superpower is ruining people's shit.

1. Silver Surfer is not emo, he's just got problems. Big difference.
2. Go buy Alan Moore's Watchmen, dude. It's not a comic book. It's ART.
3. Go buy season one of The Tick. It's one of the best TV shows ever. Ask anybody.

Pretty astute. I'm impressed.
