Watched an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond after not watching it for about a year.

I can't believe I used to like that show. It's so annoying!
A flap of the wings yesterday means big changes tomorrow.
Let's work together to keep the present inevitable.

So yeah, I went and got a blog.

I hate that show as well. It's as funny as a tax form.
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

I find E L R to be funny as hell. Its all about relationship issues, which I guess most of you wouldn't understand.

The strange thing about the show though is the amount of time that that the kids are present. The kids are not there for 95% of the show. How do you have three kids yet they are never in the house?

Which is just the way little kids should be. Out of the way for 95% of the time.

I think what I hated most is that most of the time it seemed to me that the family would all hate each other if they were not family. Usually shows like that make it clear why they all still love each other, and on Raymond most of the time it seemed like the only answer was "Because they are family, you have to."

Twins are creepy, man. I once made out with this girl who had a twin and her sister was staring at me from the side. I felt so confused.

I'll agree with that. But I think that this was their means of covering all the bases. There were many dysfunctional relationships in that show: overbearing guilt inducing mother, wife that you can't please just because you think like a man, sibling rivalry, and the old hardened grandpa who just doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks anymore (Frank was the fricking greatest! May he rest in peace).

Regardless of your own family situation, I think that most of us can identify with at least one of these scenarios. Thats likely why the show was so successful. I've got two of those: wife (girlfriend) and grandpa. I dugg it.

Robert was by far the greatest. He was the only one who ever experienced Schadenfreude. That makes him an hero in my books.
