Shooting Star’s BBQ Sauce:
1 bottle (10 oz.) teriyaki sauce (1 ¼ cups) (Garlic teriyaki is even better).
1 ½ cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 bulb garlic, cloves separated and peeled
3 Tbs. unsulfured molasses
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. cayenne pepper
½ cup hot pepper sauce
1 Tbs. seasoned pepper
1 can (16 oz.) cranberry sauce
In blender, combine all ingredients.
Precook ribs for added tenderness (if desired). I use the thick country style ribs, so precooking helps.
Place ribs in shallow baking dish; pour sauce over ribs, turning until they are well coated with sauce. Cover and marinate ribs overnight in fridge.
Grill, brushing frequently with sauce.
Enjoy with a cold beverage in a frosted mug!
