just a reminder, if you ever post a link, its best to give a description of it. especially at the begining of a new thread. now, I understand this thread is special because its FSM sightings, but at first I didn't see the FSM sighting, because you have to scroll down to find it, so my first thought was 'spam'.

I'd say unless its a direct link to an image for this thread, make sure you have a description / instructions for finding the sighting.

very cool sighting though anyway. is that your site?

This is interesting...

It relates to an earlier mention of the My Space deletion; and some of the crap Bobby Henderson had to deal with...

*sigh*

in addition to telling people what the sighting is, if there is ever a link that has some not-so-apropriate links or advertisements, tell us that too!

moonmans link has some advertisements, which I think are actuallly for other pages inside the site, that are about 'Adult Dating' 'Live Webcams' and 'Spank Bank'

you do the math.

ugh...

Those aren't too strong (I noted and took offense at certain aspects, but they're no worse than your average TV ad, other than the connotations - don't click if you don't like).

However, there was a link last week that had some VERY graphic ads for disembodied pieces of rubber anatomy, so a heads up is always appreciated.

They can get into a lot worse than some blonde-worshipper's 'spank bank', methinks. But they still shouldn't get it here. Valid point as usual, Q.

Here is a blogger who has come to an appreciation of the FSM.

Because of nonsensical beliefs like that, I'm considering joining a religious body after years of assiduous agnosticism. Not a Christian church, mind you, most of which are a bit too hateful for my tastes, but the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

From a BBC Radio Five Live debate on atheism-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainfram ... orning_fri
The debate starts at about 1hr/1hr10mins, the FSM is bought up at 1hr30mins.

Petulant Christian: "Where does your moral compas come from?"
Some Bloke: "What does it matter if it's God.... or the Flying Spaghetti Monster?"

Alternatively, as the link is a bit wobbly, try http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/programmes/morning.shtml then click "Listen again to Victoria Derbyshire: Fri"
Not sure how long this will stay here (presumably til next friday...) so if anyone cares to nab this with some tachnomagicalism then feel free.

FSM drawn into more religious debate

Postby PastaServer134 » Thu Nov 02, 2006 3:06 pm

The FSM :worship: :worship: :fsm: is mentioned, again, from Dawkins quotes in the religion v. atheism piece at:
http://www.tcsdaily.com/article.aspx?id=110206C

I suspect that parts of this argument can be worked into good reasons why atheists should convert to Pastafarianism (expecially the "get better sex" part). 8)
