Postby Gethsemane » Sun Jan 04, 2009 9:38 am

Hey,
I was messing about on the internoodles and I found this.
http://gangstaname.com/pirate_name.php

I haven't tried it yet so it may be crap.

I put in my name and got:

Ham-Hands Misty. :?

Then I put in the shortened version I usually go by and got:

"Machete" Guideon Dread

So I entered my user-name:

"Doormat" Hester Teach

None of the above make any sense whatsoever. :(

But I quite liked what the site generated when I just entered 'Tigger':

Pirate Suzy the Pink

Especially since I usually have pink hair. (I went green-and-red for Happy Monkey)

Apparently the names are produced by a random-number generator which is probably why they bear no resemblance to the original name...

The thing is, there is no gender correspondence.
Sally became Gurglin' Jim Barbossa. :?

Well, if it's just my first name, John becomes Keel-Haulin' Walt Dagger. First and last, I'm Wankin' Bobby Cooke. Choosing between them should not be this difficult.

I prefer:

http://www.piratenames.net/

as it simply lists all known pirate names, ever, whether real or fictional and even lists them by gender... 8)

If you have a bit of time, try this one:

http://www.piratequiz.com/

I got:

My pirate name is:

Mad Grace Bonney

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

The quiz has revealed that deep in my soul, I am:

Mad John Kidd

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

Our Flyer,
Who drink in heaven,
FSM be thy name,
Thy ketchup come,
Thy sauce be done,
On earth as it's served in heaven.
Give us this day our garlic bread,
And forgive over cooked Tagliatelle,
As we forgive those who serve it to us.
And lead us not into takeaways,
Who deliver pizzas so evil.
For thine is the pasta, al dente cooked spaghetti.
For breakfast and dinner,
RAmen

Well, I'm Fartin' Dick Blythe.
There are a lot of judgemental people in the world, and personally I think that those people are absolute scumballs.
