Fantastic! It is interesting that people who know only religion will not accept science, but those who understand science are not afraid of accepting religion. Religion, historicaly, has been a way to answer complex questions. Many of which we know now, such as why it rains. A person would look foolish to say the world is flat when I can prove it is round.
If the Gospel is the supposed truth and there is no evidence to support it, then reproductions (copies) of the bible are not valid. Only the original text would be valid. Everytime it is translated, copied, modified, or otherwise manipulated it is no longer the truth, since there is no proof for the original one anyway. Wasn't the Bible written by humans in the 7th century? How did they conduct their research? There were no libraries or internet, there weren't even bathrooms during that time. People lived in caves for crying out loud!

I met G-D, too. We play Poker every Thursday (Friday, obviously, being Shabbat). He told me to tell you to shut up, and leave people alone. He also said you should read your part of the book more closely. Something about not throwing stones? Yeah. That bit.

Dick, can I call you "Dick"? Dick, listen: you take yourself way too seriously. And you're possibly a little too obsessed with nudity and poo.

If this site was so boring, why take the time to write a letter in a faux-posh tone? There are loads of sites I find boring (including the one with pictures of you dressing up your cats), but do I go and comment on the clearly rampant animal abuse that goes on in your home/garage/ bedroom? No. If you want to dress your cats up like Scarlet and Rhett, and post the pics on LOLCatz, then you do you, kid, no judgements.

I'm on lunch hour now, so I'll take the time to write to you and say: Dick, really, I'm sure they have way more kitty-outfits out there now. You and Mr. Fluffy-kins should get together and make a night of it... and stop bugging people who happen to enjoy physics humor. If you don't like it, well, too bad.

Hasta la Pasta,

It's reasons like this that I'm proud to be a Canadian. People keep saying this and that about the U.S. being a Christian nation. Of course it's all a bunch of crap. After all, Christians aren't exactly open to total equality judging from their track record. As #162 said, the U.S. was founded on equality for all. This doesn't exactly fit the Christian system as of the last 2000+ years.

Hey Christian, what's the problem? Why are you so angry? Frankly, so what if no one here believes in Jesus? It doesn't impact your life, so mind your business, and I'll mind mine. Do you really think that nagging gets your point across? The purpose of religion is not to have verifiable evidence, it's to give you a guide for your life. Just a little comfort and support in this vast and cold universe. So if I choose to believe that that comfort comes from a carb-heavy food product, and you choose to believe it came from a nice Jewish boy, then what's the problem?

If you have enough faith in your own religion, then there would be no need to try to force everyone to agree with you. Since that seems to be your modus operendi, then I would suggest you examine your own faith before pointing fingers at a few people just trying to have a good time.

I happen to be a religious person, and I think the FSM is hilarious. I'm not bothered that most of these people would never agree with me; that's their choice. Back off, go to your church, and learn the true meaning of "love".

Christian:

In your post 125 you say "This world is completely corrupt..." and a few sentences later you say "Have you never seen how wonderful the world is? Oh if only i could help you.".

So, the world sucks, therefore ONE EPIC FAIL FOR GOD, but it's so wonderful, that it's evidence of an all migthy, cool deity? Weird...

Oh, and the last sentence... well, this is one of the most illogical things I see in all religions: The god(s) of any religion do not show them selves to the people that MUST worship them (or be met with some gruesome fate after death, or oblivion), and they are all powerful (or atleast extremely powerful), but they don't have the power or will or desire to get the people to believe in them.

Heck, your god could very easily turn me (or any other nonbeliever) if he wanted to, and, was as you say, all powerful. Why not just rearange the stars on the sky, so they would say "Hey guys, I'm here, the church which interpreted me correctly is ..." or something that simply offers NO alternative explanation. Instead he provides this one guy to come here and talk about him. 2000 years ago. And he expects people to follow some very easily made up crap 2000 years later.

And, it gets better: Instead of doing an impressive thing each, say 100 years, he leaves behind only a bunch of people in robes who only argue amongst themselves and interpret a book in a bazilion ways (today, there's over 38000 denominations of Christianity). Sorry, but that's not at all impressive or anything, nor does it lead me to a conclusion that there is a God, and if there is one he apparently doesn't give a sh*t about what's happening down here.

Please reply, I'm interested in your response.

...Oh for the love of the Noodle...spellcheck people...spellcheck!
We're trying to assert that we are in fact a more literate and well-educated bunch than the average fundy - but this level of spell-foolery drops us dangerously close to some of the hate-mailers. At least it wasn't in all caps.

Best of luck in your evening!

If someone can believe in a god that separates the water of the sea for the chosen people, or a man walking over the seas, or the creation of the plants before the sun... etc etc... Why not to believe in the FSM? All the Christians should believe in your religion, it is even more imaginative that theirs!! Of course I suscribe your religion!
A religion with a god who says this: 'I'd really rather you didn't use my existence to oppress, subjugate, punish, gut, or, you know... be bad with others. I don't require sacrifices, and the purity is for the potable water, not for people'... is quite more respetable that another with a god who says to kill people and not to mix with others because they are not members of the chosen people... just as one example of thousands...
Please, spread it all over the world in order to try to open the minds of those idiots that even nowadays try to rule our lives with laws written by fanatics of a religion a few thousands of years ago!

Right. I think all you Noodly Appendage deniers need to go back to the hills, keep trying to marry your sisters and leave the running of the world (including thinking which is an ability you're obviously devoid of) to us. Alternatively, what I think we need to do is teach about the whole spectrum of possible creators. Let's start with the way Allah created the world shall we Christian?!

Remember, there's a reason the word God has only one syllable.

(those damned inbred god-fearing rednecks are chasing me again ... hoik)

Hi, Christian. I'd like to reference post 124, the one where you talk about Yahweh destroying evil. Have you read 2 Chronicles 15:9-15? Yahweh grants peace and prosperity to a king because he executes anyone who won't follow the Mosaic law, men, women, and children alike. Imagine, if you will, that the United States was founded on Christian principles. Now, imagine that the unbeliever-killing king from 2 Chronicles rules over the United States and undertakes the executive action found in 2 Chronicles 15: all American citizens who will not convert to belief in Yahweh will be summarily killed. I should not need to point out the gross injustice here. Is this king destroying evil in Yahweh's name, or is he just getting rid of anyone who doesn't agree with him (and thereby tossing them straight into Hell)? You said that your god has the right to destroy evil. Does that make everyone who doesn't believe in Yahweh evil? If mass slaughters in the name of Yahweh are the destruction of evil, like you say they are, 2 Chronicles 15:9-15 says yes, all nonbelievers are evil. In this passage, Yahweh is using the same "convert-or-die" tactic that radical Muslims favor and that the Antichrist will supposedly resort to. Doesn't Yahweh want us to seek him out of love, not because someone is threatening our lives? Through the actions of that king, Yahweh was essentially saying, "Come unto your Heavenly Father, my dear little children, or I shall have this axe driven between your precious little cervical vertebrae and bless the man who ordered it." In this case, I believe I have every right to yell "IT'S NOT FAIR!!!" at the top of my lungs. Yahweh in 2 Chronicles 15 wasn't like a loving father spanking his children; he was more like a torturer trying to get a confession out of his victim. I can think of many, many more Biblical examples of Yahweh "destroying evil" in this manner, each of them just as despicable.

Hi, Christian. I’d like to reference post 124, the one where you talk about Yahweh destroying evil. Have you read 2 Chronicles 15:9-15? Yahweh grants peace and prosperity to a king because he executes anyone who won’t follow the Mosaic law, men, women, and children alike.
