FSM Race Car at LeMons 500

Published June 24th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

Chris Heerschap was nice enough to share these photos with us:

I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of the 24 hours of LeMons, but it’s a car race for cars of $500 or less.  Most all of the cars have some sort of theme, and my friends who entered my old car agreed on a FSM theme.  I though it was cool until I saw the car, at which point I realized it was truly divine:

Beautiful

I like the ambulance-style reversed lettering

Pirate-Fish (plural) abound

WWFSMD? Who can say ... he shows up in many unexpected places.

More Pirate-Fish.

I love the shirts.

And another FSM themed car? What a great event.

This must be Pastafarian country.

This particular race took place in Summit Point, WV. – part of a series ranging across the country.

This article at detnews has a pretty good explanation of what this race series is about.

With 23 events around the United States in 2010, this amateur series offers wheel-to-wheel competition, with all the burning cars and hot tempers found at professional races. The hitch is that no vehicle can cost more than $500. This is a race of clunkers.

LeMons, a play on the famous 24 hours of Le Mans in France (Lemons, get it?), is open to any would-be-racer/imbecile with the gumption to put together a junker and a team.

Sounds like a good time.

FSM Float at Solstice Parade

Published June 20th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

Eric Jones spotted the FSM and crew at Fremont’s Summer Solstice Parade. Amazing!

I'm in awe of the scale.

Appropriately named bar 'Sinners and Saints' in the background. I'm told they have goldfish racing.

Side view.

I like that the Noodly Appendages are so large they need to be hoisted with poles.

Rear view.

Pirates.

And a video… looks like some sacred religious act happening:

The Seattle Atheists were behind this display. Awesome work, guys.

Eric has more pictures and videos of the show on his blog.

Touchdown Jesus, the day before

Published June 20th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

I was at the Touchdown Jesus the DAY BEFORE it was destroyed.  I took some pics.  When I looked at this one, I was amazed by what I saw in the clouds.

Rio costume

Published June 13th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

I have been mislead about Rio Carnivale costumes. I expected more boob.

I was amused by the satire, appalled by the Kansas School Board and think the hatemail is priceless but I wasn’t connected UNTIL….Carnivale in Rio and HIS/HER NOODLY GOODNESS WAS THERE (and I wish I was closer than a photo).

Cheers

Astro Jellyfish sighting

Published June 5th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

Looks too noodly to be a jellyfish and there are clearly meatballs

From prominent father of evolutionary biology, Ernst Haeckel:  a work entitled Astro-Jellyfish was most certainly inspired by Him.

Lovecraftian comic

Published June 3rd, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

I wish I could draw like this

I was looking at a Cthulhu related webcomic (The Unspeakable Vault) When I found this! Apparently the FSM is delicious to Elder Gods!

Japan Manga Sighting

Published May 31st, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

manga

Very recently a comic in Japan published a story about a bizarre cult that ended in the creation of His (actually Her) Noodleyness. While comics there are full of tentacled monsters, the details are too exact to be anything but a call out. "It looks like spaghetti", inexplicably flying away with meaty balls, the cult god. I was thrilled that FSM has crossed cultural borders.

-Carly

I can confirm that the FSM has been making the rounds. The Gospel was released in Japan some time ago.  I’ve been receiving emails from our neighbors across the Pacific regularly.

Faith Fighter sighting

Published May 30th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

Watching from the background, the only God who chooses not to fight.

David spotted the FSM in the flash game Faith Fighter.

I was playing with Jesus versus Mohammed and I did a screen capture when I saw the Flying Spaghetti Monster hovering in the background.

I have become  a true believer, I now call myself a Pastafarian!
Ramen!

-David O.

This game is pretty awesome, I have to say.  Each God has His own particular moves.  Here’s Jesus trying out the Holy Cross:

Cool hat.

It feels very much like the old Street Fighter games.  Good work Molleindustria – Fun AND sacrilegious.

You can play it here.

Spore sighting

Published May 23rd, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

the one on the left reminds me of a galapagos tortoise

While wasting time that could be better spent studying for the upcoming midterms, I was inspired, most likely by the touch of the FSM himself and just had to create his likeness in Spore form. Here, His Noodlyness is experimenting with the creation of small noodly ones, for the furtherance of his noodlyness throughout this planet. So now, in this virtual universe, His Noodlyness may now also reign supreme! Let the FSM’s power spread around the planet, and eventually around the galaxy. Ramen.
