Faith Fighter sighting

Published May 30th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

Watching from the background, the only God who chooses not to fight.

David spotted the FSM in the flash game Faith Fighter.

I was playing with Jesus versus Mohammed and I did a screen capture when I saw the Flying Spaghetti Monster hovering in the background.

I have become  a true believer, I now call myself a Pastafarian!

-David O.

This game is pretty awesome, I have to say.  Each God has His own particular moves.  Here’s Jesus trying out the Holy Cross:

Cool hat.

It feels very much like the old Street Fighter games.  Good work Molleindustria – Fun AND sacrilegious.

You can play it here.

Spore sighting

Published May 23rd, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

the one on the left reminds me of a galapagos tortoise

While wasting time that could be better spent studying for the upcoming midterms, I was inspired, most likely by the touch of the FSM himself and just had to create his likeness in Spore form. Here, His Noodlyness is experimenting with the creation of small noodly ones, for the furtherance of his noodlyness throughout this planet. So now, in this virtual universe, His Noodlyness may now also reign supreme! Let the FSM’s power spread around the planet, and eventually around the galaxy. Ramen.

Gunpowder Falls sighting

That water looks so cold. You are a tough lady, Sarah.

Spotted while kayaking the Gunpowder Falls in Maryland.

Blasphemous cartoon

I just noticed it was the Devil and God

Cristian spotted the FSM in this Chilean comic.  In Spanish it reads, “Looks tasty, doesn’t it?  Would you pass me the Parmesan.”

No doubt this will incite all sorts of hateful responses because that’s a legitimate and not-at-all unreasonable and nutty response to a cartoon.

meager pirate boat

I can relate

I’m a poor broke college student, so I can’t quite afford a ship. This is the next best thing.

phyto plankton evidence

Published May 16th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

Meringue corresponces found between phyto planktons and the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

That microcosmic creature is sailing in sea using carbon dioxide from fleck atmosphere to grown. It’s very rapidly reacting in its environment. I didn’t find any direct link within pirates, but under the climate change autothrophs could get lower photosynthesis levels to survive.

Sighting in Barcelona

Oh Pastafarians !

Behold the FSM !

Every morning, when I go to work on my bike and I am right in front of Fundació Tàpies ( in Barcelona (Spain), I have this revealing vision of the FSM.

What do you think? Real or delusion?

Mysterious strangers

Published April 29th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

noodly orb

Every year about this time, mysterious strangers hang multiple Orange FSM ornaments on our cedar trees.

Very interesting! I had to post all the photos Karen sent.

those are clearly noodly appendages

looks like a meatball

(Unenlightened) scientists would have us believe these noodly orbs are Ceder-Apple rust on Eastern Red Cedars.  You can decide for yourselves.

FSM in Tonga

Published April 23rd, 2010 by user-submitted

I am a devotees of The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, if for no other reason than His brilliant insight that global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct result of the shrinking number of Pirates since the 1800s. We are proud to dedicate our regular Correlation of the week to this observation, and on my recent trip to Tonga, He showed me that He is pleased with our work.

On walking through a cemetery in the Tongan capital Nuku’alofa, I spotted the following dedication to His Noodliness. Whilst Christianity is by far the major religion in Tonga, there seems to be evidence that the FSM church is working with both Christianity and the traditional culture, and growing in the South Pacific – the very place that global warming and rising sea-levels will have the biggest effect, and therefore the greatest need for pirates.

Then during the night I awoke and managed to snap this quick photo as He appeared to me from our fale roof. You can clearly see His glory shining through.

I like to think He is happy with our spreading of His word through Correlation of the week. More on this story here:

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American.
