I felt inspired in my Introduction to Ceramics class to make the one true dinner. So I did.

clay sculpture

Published January 1st, 2009 by Bobby Henderson

scupt053.jpg

After being inspired by the FSM, I decided to make a little sculpture of Him. An hour later (plus another hour baking in the oven) I had finished the figure of Him shown in the attached photo. He is made out of Sculpey III polymer clay and stands about eight cm wide and a little under three cm tall at the eyestalks. He is currently living on my windowsill.

May the Sauce be with you!

And this one – I am sorry but I lost the original email and just have this picture, I don’t know who sent me this. Anyone recognize this Tree-Topper as the one watching over your tree? Please let me know.

happy Holidays from Finland

Published December 23rd, 2008 by Bobby Henderson

Tänä jouluna Lentävä spagettihirviö on jälleen vahvasti läsnä taloudessani. Joulukuusen huippua koristaa Hänen nuudelimainen korkeutensa.

I have no idea what that says but I like the way it looks. If I knew how to make umlauts, I would umlaut everything. örïgïnal post cän bë föünd hërë. (ï fïgürëd öüt höw tö mäkë thëm)

Rough translation (thanks to Dusty):

This Christmas the flying spaghetti monster will be again strongly present in my life. The top of the Christmas tree is decorated by his high noodliness.

Holiday Ornament

Published December 21st, 2008 by Bobby Henderson

Our friends at WebUrbanist posted this FSM Holiday ornament:

fsm_ornament1.png

Possibly the best thing to happen to Christmas, ever, this hand-felted Flying Spaghetti Monster is so wrong, yet feels so right!. Not only does it fly in the face of the entire myth of Christmas but it does so while looking too adorable to be offensive.

FSM at art show

Published December 14th, 2008 by Bobby Henderson

For my senior art show at South Dakota State University, I set up an installation for the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It consisted of 8 intaglio prints and my giant FSM sculpture. I have attached a few of the photos from the show, which took place in 2006. The FSM is a soft sculpture, made from fabric, stuffing, and some wires. There were many people in attendance who had their photos taken underneath, touching the noodley appendages.

Attached is my handmade knitted FSM that is doing a fantastic job of topping my knitted Xmas tree. The other 11 months of the year, he protects my boyfriend’s DVDs from mooches and spreads his noodly love around the apartment. As you can see, he’s glorious! Enjoy!

Wow! That is great.

We were setting up our Christmas tree this year and realized we had nothing to set a top it.

We do hope my crafty homage to our dear FSM does not mind his perch alight on our tree, because he looks so fantastic there.

Have a great Holiday season.
