Firstly, as someone has already pointed out, 'Science' is nothing more than a collection of theories, frequently based NOT upon sound and repeatable experiments, but on 'theoretical' (hence the term) hypotheses. I give as just one example of this the theory of Gravitational Force. Now, only an idiot would suggest that we should not teach our kids this theory in science lessons, we have all been peddled this theory for as long as science has been taught. And yet...... it is not only 'just a theory', it's not even a very good theory. It just happens to be the best we can do with the knowledge we have at the moment. There are just too many inconsistencies in Gravity as a force of nature. For one, it just isn't as strong as it should be (the gravity, not the theory). Secondly, it should be present as 'waves' and manifest as a particle, the much sought but never seen 'Graviton'. Even should the Higgs Bosson particle be proved, it fails to plug all the gaps in the theory of Gravity. My point is that, whilst Creationism is very bad Science, it represents (or rather illustrates) the worst of the problems one encounters often in science. So, maybe we should teach our kids ONLY the science that is provable, a short lesson indeed. Then consign creationism and other non-provable stuff to another discipline. Science is all a 'work in progress' and as such, there is very little which can be declared an unfit theory, until we have the whole of the universe worked out in detail. I really think that this makes so much more sense than Christianity, (I was baptised at 6months old and brought up learning about God, so it's understandable that i cannot suddenly backstab God's existence as i have believed in God for 15, and in 6 months, it'll be 16 years) I do however like the idea of FSM, like i said. I only have 1 problem with the whole Pastafarianism. Heaven. I am a girl, as you can tell, and i think that it is unfair that the Heaven has a Beer Volcano and Stripper Factory, where is all the Heaven for females :( ? I'd like to take a moment to let all readers know that we're not all crazy or retarded, and that SOME of us didn't lose our sense of humor in the baptism jacuzzi thing. The point is that regardless of your intentions or opinions (both of which you are completely entitled to), Pastafarianism has become a fun creative outlet for millions of people, and there is NOTHING wrong with having a good time. Also, I'm no prophet, but I feel comfortable saying that God does not hate you or anyone else, and that your beliefs on whether or not He can be offended so easily are right on.
