Pirate Fish Coffee Table

This is a coffee table I built for our dorm paying tribute to the FSM with a pirate fish logo. Keep doing what you’re doing.

    That’s genuinely freaking MAGNIFICENT. I’d love to know what sort of technique you used for this, if you don’t mind sharing? And for the love of all that’s noodley and saucy, please keep doing what YOU’RE doing!

    Thanks! I traced the image of the pirate fish onto the wood and, using a wood burning tool, burned the outline of the fish into the wood. I stained it using a brush and q-tip. Burning the edges keeps the edges crisp if the stain is not absorbed evenly and gives it the appearance of inlay, at a glance, without all the work.
