simnel cake

Published May 15th, 2010 by Bobby Henderson

looks delicious

My daughter and I were making a simnel cake at the weekend (a traditional British holiday treat). Apparently Christians are supposed to put 11 balls of marzipan on top to symbolize the 11 “true” disciples.

Needless to say, as devout pastafarians, we were keen to use the opportunity to express our own beliefs in the wonderful medium of marzipan. We call it the FSMnel cake.

Mmmm… Marzipan.

Hope you like it.
