This site is frustrating because these “pastafarians” just use this mock religion to bash on everyone else’s beliefs. there are pieces in the Bible that seem absurd… talking animals, reanimated corpses, the ground opening up and swallowing people, etc. but nothing that takes THIS great a leap in logic. God isn’t a “bearded man on a cloud” He’s the creative force in this universe. hell isn’t a place where you can “chill with friends, but boy is it hot in here”… hell is a place reserved for Satan, and the people who he deceives into following him there. don’t take all this as “shoving my religion down your throat” take it as a clarification of some misunderstandings some pastafarians seem to have about Christianity. the obvious point behind this website is to say “hey you believe in God without proof, well we believe in noodles, and since they already exist, that counts as proof”… well basically, it’s not proof people should look for in spirituality… it’s doctrine. pastafarian doctrine is an obvious farce. the Bible has integrity. where all these other “religious books” fall short, the Bible stands firm. you guys couldn’t even come up with an original name… it had to be ripped off from the Rastafarians… give the Bible a try, an honest try.

ok look, if you believe in a religion, then thats your thing. dont come over to other people who have other beliefs and critisize them. i read that we havent found and actual proof of the FSM existince, but have you found any ACTUAL proof that YOUR god exists? other than a few books and paintings? the FSM has all the right to exist just as your god does. all i want to say is, let people believe in what they want, and you stick to your own religion.

I liked your comment Kc, but yeah, we do have proof buddy. My eight kids all sat down in front of the FSM at dinnertime, His Noodly Appendages touched them all, and He allowed them to partake of His Holy Body. We Do This In Acknowledgement Of Him, not Memory, as He truly exists.

I’d give them a C+ on this, just because Joe didn’t seem to be a total asshole, and therefore may not be a total hypocrite, but he didn’t make a very good case for the reason for his frustration. If the site is frustrating…go away OR think hard and see if you can figure out what the Pastafarians are actually saying regarding “religion”. I promise your head WILL NOT explode if you use it to question “everything you ever believed in”. May you be enlightened by his Noodley Appendages.

I usually try to respond to hate-mailers with some reason and apathy, but I’ve changed my mind with this one. Here it goes:

This isn’t about noodles, it’s about science! Don’t you get it? Didn’t you read the open letter to the Kansas School Board? It’s about stopping misinterpretation of scientific theory to suit oneself. If you truly want to teach “Intelligent Design” as a science and not as a philosophical point, then use a scientific method. If you want to start out with the hypothesis that there is intelligence to the universe and site order in the universe as proof…then I would ask the scientific community what can be determined about this intelligence looking ONLY at the universe itself. Ignore bias! Ignore religious texts…ESPECIALLY THE BIBLE!
How many people supporting Intelligent Design have bleated a need for teachers and staff to get right with God or Jesus? How many people have denounced Evolution because they do not understand what a scientific theory really is? This isn’t about denouncing religion…it’s about unmasking a religion hiding under the guise of a science!
What do you think would happen if the scientific community said this: “Using scientific method while ignoring all preexisting notions of religion, we have identified the following about the Intelligence of the Universe…” I could only imagine the chaos and fervor. Biased counterpoints by religious “scientists” and protests for all!
