We’re working hard at spreading the message of the Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster throughout Mexico and Latin America. You might know that the Virgin of Guadalupe is the holiest figure of the Mexican catholic religion – but things have changed. Now we know that the FSM is also present in one more of the many far away lands. Attached is an image of our findings. We hope you enjoy it!

Bendito sea el Monstruo de Spaghetti Volador! (blessed be the FSM).

Sincerely,

Ana Pimentel, Diego Ramirez and Alfonso Ballesteros
Followers of the FSM in Mexico

jajajajajaja el Sagrado Monesvol está por doquier =D

Our beautiful country would be much better if 90% of the people weren’t insanely fanatized with this image, created by Spaniards to hold down indigenous peoples and mestizos. Greetings from Mexico! And down with catholic mafia! well, also all christian, islamic and jewish mafias… all of them but the Holy FSM =D

    Greetings from Mexico!

  2. Paul says:

As a Catholic I find this image histarical for one reason. If the FSM is suppose to be the Pastifarianism God and he is all good as a mock of the Christian, Jewish, Islam, monotheistic God, why do you have Mary standing on him. In the painting she is not standing on God. In the story of the painting, she appeared standing on the God of the Mexicans, which was the snake, also symbolized meaning of the devil, she was above that God (Satan) and was crushing it. And since she wasn’t the deity, she was bowing her head in respect of the One True God, so the snake god wasn’t as powerful as this woman, who wasn’t even a Godly figure. So in a sense the FSM is the devil and the Christian God is still a top the FSM (Satan). Sometimes a back ground story can help before you prove yourselves wrong, and i know this is a great mockery, but if you’re going to do it at least do some fact checking.

She’s not standing on the FSM – he’s picked her up!

  3. Paul says:

After reading every comment on this post, i have to say i’ve heard both sides of the arguement my whole life and i’ve come to the conclusion that if there really is a God, and he’s perfect like i think he would have to be then i would have no idea what to think because i’ve never seen perfect and i doubt anyone else has seen perfection. Our minds can’t grasp perfection because we have never experiensed true perfection, only what our minds percieve as perfection. Human logic is flawed, so my logic will be different from that of an Atheist or what have you. And if God is so perfect why didn’t he make us perfect, well i say if I were God, it would be boring for everyone to be just like me. It’s not proof, but what do i care.

      Paul,

Human logic isn’t always flawed. Scientific logic/theory definately isn’t flawed due to the observable evidence it is based on. Religious logic is definately flawed as it is up to the individual to decide how the ‘sacred text’ is to be interpreted.

Well, you cared enough to put your fingers to the keyboard so you feel strongly enough to state your opinion. I agree that perfection is what our minds perceive it as being. Perfection is a falsehood of human creativity. I’ve never seen my cats go back to where they’ve just done a dump and carefully rearrange the soil they’ve scraped over the area, nor have I seen them scratch the furniture in a way that seems carefully considered. The only animal I can think of (other than man) that seems to show regard for perfection is the spider when it spins a web. Regarding a god being perfect, I would have thought that a perfect god would be incapable of being bored, as that would surely indicate a flawed nature.

Your country was build around Her image, and it’s being smashed to bit because we have stop believing in her and we have forgotten what’s it’s to be Catholic, respect and love for your neighbor, however the culture of “screw you”, “me first”, “me, me, me” has lead us to self destruction.

” … created by Spaniards to hold down indigenous peoples and mestizos …”
    Prove it

Too many replies to catch up, way too much work, back when I can.

    God Bless you Daniel…

hahahaha, la mejor imagen de FSM que eh visto!

    Ramén!

  7. Jesso says:

How can you say that they have stopped believing in her? 90% of the population is Catholic! No one has stopped believing or forgotten what it is like to be Catholic. They are acting exactly as Catholics have acted since they came into existence. Working to build their own wealth and power no matter what it takes. Shall we review again the list of people that the Catholics have either stood by and watched the bloodshed (WWII), or the times they have killed people for not believing as they do (Crusades, Inquisition, etc). What is going on now sounds pretty par for the course.

  8. ivanhoe says:

    Hey Jesus…

that old argument “the world is worse now that people are getting away from god” doesn’t have any proof to back it up, tell you what, most convicted killers out there believe in a god, some even claim their actions were based on what such god whispered to them, most middle-east terrorists kill other people for considering them infidels.

and yes, lets not forget about the inquisition…

of course the Virgin of Guadalupe was created by the spaniards as means of “tropicalizing” catholicism so it would be diggested easily by the new converts… this strategy has been used a number of times before. …for example why is jesus’ birth celebrated on Dec. 24?
