Pilgrimage to the homeland

Here is a picture of our recent pilgrimage to the homeland. We rustled up a pirate captain and chartered a ship on which to sail the Caribbean Sea. Our vessel flew His colors aft, and we enjoyed several days of grog and merriment as we shared our bounty of candy with the children of the BVIs. On our third day, we came to port on Virgin Gorda, where some fellow travelers kindly took this photo. On that holy Friday, we cast off homeward, and a giant sea turtle surfaced beside our ship and escorted us from the bay (really). We returned spiritually fulfilled and forever grateful to the FSM for our safe and prosperous voyage.

Arrrgh! and RAmen,
Pastafarian Jon and shipmates

A fine crew, a daring flag and a snappy uniform. What more could you ask from his Noodliness? Looks like a really great time. Keep the faith!

Kudos to you for doing your part to help slow down global warming. Maybe I’ll take a pilgrimage to the homeland during the Holiday. RAmen.

Although for American Pastafarians the Caribbean Sea is their truly homeland, there are other homelands spread for all the Seven Seas. For us, Mediterranean Pastafarians, Cilicia is our motherland, and Julius Caesar one of the first to be blamed about the Ancient Warming period (19th – 18th centuries BBH). For Northern European Pastafarians all the Atlantic seashore is a sacred place, including river courses such as Seine. Thanks to piracy in North-eastern Atlantic there was a relieving Fresh Higher Middle Ages period (13th – 12th centuries BBH). Thanks to Mediterranean piracy again the Lower Middle Ages Warming period was put to an end (7th – 6th centuries BBH): Turks and Berbers shpuld be very proud of their Pastafarian roots: the Little Ice Period (4th – 3rd centirues BBH) was their work. In modern times, we have a lot of efforts, but Global Warming is increasing. I do not think Somalis are fully in the correct path of climate fighting. We all hope that Pirate Parties will bring to the European political scene a comprenhending praxis based on Pastafarian values, the only way to regenerate society and to bring a newer Ice Period. Woa, Andrew, peace child. The FSM surely loves you regardless of your anger. One night, when you’re cold and alone, may you reach out to His warm noodle and be embraced by his love.

The voyage was surely blessed by Him, sea turtles love spaghetti. I too am looking forward to an official FSM cruise… with shuffleboard, and mai tais.

    Sauce be with you.
    rAmen

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
