Japan sighting

You’ll be pleased to know that His Noodliness is about to make huge inroads in Japan. I recently attended a summer fireworks festival with about 700,000 other people. Imagine my surprise when The Flying Spaghetti Monster saw fit to bless us all with an appearance! I can only imagine that after witnessing such a revelation, all present will find their way to the one true church. I mean, Japanese love noodles (udon, soba, ramen, etc) anyway, so I think they have been Pastafarians at heart all along! They only needed the touch of his noodly appendage to nudge them in the right direction.

Hey, anyone ever notice how many times He shows up in fireworks? I got an idea. He must like them.. They must remind FSM of the cannons of yesteryear… That’s why pirates carried them. Not to attack people but to provide the huge explosions that He finds so attractive.

Well, although the idea of a supernatural epiphany of Our Noodly Lord is not completely uncalled, I think it is wiser in this case to suppose that the fireworkers decided to show a sincerely act of Pastafarian devotion.

Which prooves the Chinese have known about him for centuries. I wonder if the japanese know this…
Come to think of it, I see him every time a firworks display is on. I used to like fie works because it combined 2 of my favorite things: The sound of explosions and the sight of explosions. Ah yes, now I like them for 3 reasons.

Maybe He did not wish to show himself but the light revealed Him, like Predator…

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
