your movement is pointless

Do you really think you’ll get your point across by creating a fake religion?

The reason why Mythology is taught in schools is to enrich our knowledge of cultures that existed way before your ancestors were born. There’s a similar reason as to why religion is taught, those who don’t believe in it, can just go along and learn the views that people had hundreds of years ago, again it enriches them by showing them why others believe.

I find that the church of The FSM is a big joke, no it wasn’t found such a long time ago, you dweebs, I can’t believe there were people who actually considered believing that. Did you, for one second, think that MAYBE just MAYBE your insulting a large group of people out there, that they will be deeply hurt because of your sick ingorance towards basic facts.

And what’s up with the website? Dude, do you not have a life? Shouldn’t you be studying if you’re in college, at least.

I”m not going to say that you’re in my prayers and that crap, because you aren’t, and all those people who said you were in their prayers lied to you, because they probably forgot all about it when they navigated from the page, that’s the type of impact you’re making on the world.

Well, what can I say, it IS your time to waste. Have fun, if it makes you happy.

Well this website does generate a huge amount of traffic and last time i heard the board of education was replaced so ya the point did get across. Since when was mythology taught in Science Class?? The point wasnt to eliminate ID from schools the point was to say that ID; be it the jeudo-christian verison that the kansas school board wanted or the one created by the prophet bobby henderson. Maybe ID could be taught in a separate religion class also MYTHology acknowledges what is being taught is a myth. The protest was aimed at ID in science class, we just don’t want ID being passed off as Science or in any way scientific to children who are easily “brainwashed” by the ideas of religion. Also what group are we insulting by our apparently sick ignorance of basic facts??? Last time I checked this large group of people, whom im assuming believe in a jeudo-christian verison of ID, had just as much “evidence” as bobby henderson did when he wrote about his noodliness the FSM. The website is to spread our views which have just as much validity as many other sites spreading religons. Also we are making a bigger impact than you think. For one we are making people who send hate mail to the hate mail(and concerned criticsms) section look like exactly what they are, fools who believe in a religion and want to force it onto other people using verbal insults and threating us with eternal torture. One question to you though… if you thought this website was a waste of time why did you bother replying to it at all seeing as almost no one comes here and what is being said never reaches anyone according to you??I’m pretty sure this was more your waste of time them ours.

I always wonder why some people have the arrogance to think their religion is The One And Only. Catholicism only excist for about 2.000 years, judaism a bit earlier,… What about the cycle of the sun of the ancient Egyptians? Why wouldn’t that be the One Belief? It’s much older so it must be more correct? Maya’s, Inca’s, Mother Nature…?

Soit, I had my laugh for the day so thanks for that :)

I find it amusing that people take offense to this when they don’t HAVE to read this.

And… “way before your ancestors were born”? If you go down the family tree long enough, there will be ancestors who existed during that time, so that makes no sense.

Good day to you, Stela. I will pray to the FSM that you might someday get an actual sense of humour.

Did you ever stop to consider that you are offending us by saying that this is a fake religion. This Dweeb is deeply offended and hurt.

I think that if you just let the FSM enrich your life you may learn a little about a modern culture that is growing in strength as the world shrinks (not literally mind you), and ignorance and hate are harder to grind into a child’s education.

Organized religion had its place in controlling the masses for long enough. I think FSM makes a profound point…. but only to those clever enough to understand and with an open enough mind to make a choice of logic over dogma.

    Stel, why the anger?

Your most revealing point was that the FSM wasn’t founded a long time ago. If it’s true that FSM’s youth precludes it from “real” religion status, then it only follows that ALL religions are false because at one time they were once “young.”

Yes, the FSM is a big joke. I hope that future civilization will learn much from our Myths. We are so enriching…especially the spaghetti fortified with B vitamins.

He loved us that much. I know deep down that you are searching for meaning to your life but why this. You truly are in my prayers that one day you will come out from under the ether and realize how lost you really are. My prayers are to the the ONE true GOD that has ears to hear and eyes to see. I think you should reflect on why the FSM is insulting to the religious like yourself. If you really believe in your relgion and its supernatural god, then there should be no insult. If however you are a poser believer and don’t really believe what you’ve been sold, then I can see how you would get insulted by someone exposing your views.

If not a true believer, then I would say convert to FSM – its more fun.

    Dear Stela
I am deeply offended of you going around (no, coming here) and insulting our way of life and calling it names.
This web site actually saved my soul and filled the hole inside me, with spaghetti mostly.
But I do pray for you that his noodliness may pour his mariana sauce over you and enlighten you.
Have you not ever read our holy FSM gospel?!
We are a peace loving, rum drinking, pasta eating jolly good fellas!
We pastaferians have never waged wars or crusades, had no “dark ages”, inquisition and etc.
We never ever intend to offend anybody not even the midgets (who are most touched by HIM).
And actually WE have a really good tolerance for other religions that have such bad history but we know that his noodliness has a grand plan for all of us.
If you want proof I can quote OUR gospel so don’t even think about it.
And last but not least, it is our time and our pleasure.
I hope you soon realise the taste of pasta.

As to the abrahamic, bronze age, vengeful, baby killing god: I believe he died many years ago, yet still lives on in disillusioned minds around the world. I think these people just like the idea of any god punishing people who do not believe in the ridiculous things they have been brainwashed into believing. Well to answer your questions Stella:
The first two posts are celebrating the ironry of your comments. That and satire are what this site is about, so again I call you a liar in your claim that you did indeed, “…read your little website before I read the e-mail.” I think you meant to say “wrote the e-mail” but good job using the correct “your” this time. Post number three actually states a “basic fact” that all religions are made up by people. Your religion is no different than ours. Though as you’ve already shown us you have no sense of humor I didn’t expect you to think it was funny.

Really I’m just excited that you responded. The best part was that after calling this website a waste of time, you came back again, read the posts, and created one herself. Also if our religion is such a waste of time why did you engage in an arguement with your friend about it? I hoping you return a third time and share with us some of your “basic facts” but remember:
    1. The bible cannot prove itself. We are looking for independent verification of what your bible has to say.
    2. “Because God said so” doesn’t count.
    Awaiting your reply:

Hey Shane #69, I am not going to call you an idot, but great job parroting the cock and bull story of the sadomasochist who got his son (who was himself) nailed to a tree, and then kept acting as if he had done anyone a favor. I know you are looking for a meaning in your heart, but why do you have to believe this nonsense? Why is it so hard to see the real creator, the One who is made of noodles? He has eyes and balls. Can’t you feel the touch of His appendages calling on you to open your heart to love and hope? You will find the truth if you seek it, not if you try to make it up.

Stela, as you may have not noticed, we don’t really care what you think. It should also be quite obvious that we don’t feel at all bad about insulting people. That’s because those that feel insulted by us are completely missing the point. On a side note, it’s truly quite amusing that the only people that do feel insulted by us are christians. It seems that they are the only ones who are paranoid about their particular religion. The rest of the religious world doesn’t even bother with us and considering just how many other religious people there are it makes one wonder just what’s up with that. FSM may be a joke to you but it doesn’t hold a candle to the joke that christianity is. At least we don’t get angry and violent. Can you say the same?

My father, my creator with an everlasting love that transgresses that of conditional. But what really has me is that I understand God. And although there are other Gods and Saints, and religious figures I NEVER let no other God come before him for I cannot be dissuaded for not believing in something I truly believe in, I mean that just contradicts his teachings.

Have you ever heard of Horus? His story was started long before Jesus’, in the Egyptian kingdom in fact. He was born of a virgin, the son of a god, was baptised when he was 30, the person who baptised him was beheaded, was betrayed for 20 silver, was crucified on the cross, rose 3 days later to ascend into heaven. Now, let’s just replace Horus with the name “Jesus” and OMIGOSH! It’s the same freaking thing. He isn’t the only one either. Look it up. Jesus’ story is NOT original.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
