Sometimes I find it so crazy that some people actually believe in heaven and hell. It’s just so amazingly ignorant.
“Believers”, historically, have done an adequate job of making fools of themselves; they hardly need help from the disciples of his Noodliness. “Having something to believe in” is not something I would brag about, either. It is nothing more than your security blanket to cower under lest you face your existential crisis like a man. “Belief”- or “faith”- are merely “hope” tied vulgarly to presumption. Hope is good. Presumption is unnecessary.
