Yeah it was in one sitting. It didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would.

I think it is truly inspirational to see an eternal devotion to Our Suicy Creator.

I cannot believe people can believe that a food is a god. You are truly a shame. Is this for real…do you really believe God is made of spaghetti…and flies..?

Wow Lyllia, that’s awesome. I was just thinking as I was driving around today, if a Flying Spaghetti Monster tattoo would look as good as an Invisible Pink Unicorn tattoo, and seeing yours is making me think FSM would be way better.

    thanks.

Wow! Im thinking of getting one for myself too, yours looks awesome!

And #11 please tell us what do you believe in that is more logical and maybe provide some proofs? Dont say you’re Christian, please, because then ok we might be believing in food as a God, but you’d be believing in an invisible creature with a beard who lives in the sky and is actually 3 in 1: a young man, an old man and a woman, all at the same time. Quite an image.

At least Spaghetti does exist, therefore we’re closer than you to a logical belief. But if you can provide us a *real* argument of why should we convert to your religion, feel free to do so through the Hate Mail of this website. Otherwise then learn to live and let live.

May the Noodly Appendage be with you forever Lyl.

    RAmen.

I’m glad I could inspire more people show devotion. As for Nicole, I’m not sure I even have a response for you except, When were flies introduced?? Thanks, to all of the rest of you for your positive responses. haha

    Nicole,

Thanks for missing the point. Always entertaining.

Did you know that the Catholic Church, among others, believe that the communion wafers and wine worshipers consume during Communion literally turns into the flesh and blood of Christ? Not figuratively, but literally. If your god is going to double as a Happy Meal, at least it should be a tasty Happy Meal.

    @nicole (#11)
Nicole, if you check out the “liberty university” posting at the top of the May archives, you’ll see the picture of a prominent Christian (ex-Christian, actually; he’s dead and in the Pastafarian Hell, to boot). If you study that porcine image, you’ll see that he may actually have devoutly worshipped food himself….

O, come on, we Pastafarian should be tolerant of Christian beliefs. It is very easy for our Pastafarian background to disregard Abrahamic religions as parochial and outdated cults. However, it is very plausible that Jesus is just another name of FSM, distorted in the innocent views of several poor Galilean fishermen 2000 years ago. Any religion is a reflection of Pastafarianism, and so merited of full respect and compassion.

If your post was prompted by mine (#17) above, it was fair enough; sincere apologies. But, maybe to be clear, “ideals”, “beliefs”, and “behaviour” are all quite distinct from one another. Humility, compassion, and tolerance are common ideals amongst all religions worthy of respect and – you’re right – Pastafarians are bound to decent ideals, beliefs, and behaviour. Jerry Falwell’s version of Christianity embodies no whit nor tittle of any of those hallmarks, and I’m not sure I have to be nice about him, LOFLMAO.

I Have a tattoo of the Invisible Pink unicorn….hard to see though what with it being invisible.

I think an FSM tat would be a great Idea. I think I will get it after my tattoo of the answer to life the universe and everything

Wait… your god isn’t made out of spaghetti and flies, is it? I thought it was spaghetti and meatballs.

Anyway, tattoos are ridiculous and the practice should be stopped. Along with abortion and sex changes. Bad stuff it all is.

It’s strange how the grotesque things that go on in a society are taboo one decade then common in the next. Maybe we’ll have the freedom to marry our pets soon =)

    Hurray!

I’m waiting for the day when I can marry a tattooed abortion that has had a sex-change.

I noticed you put a smiley face after “marry our pets soon”. Is that something you look forward to? Because that is definitely more grotesque, and illegal.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
