Looks like #2 now. Though it’s only behind “This American Life.” Go David Sedaris.

Hmmm… I must have gotten there too late. http://www.thisamericanlife.org was at the top of my results.

    We were second.

I did it and got “This American Life” as the top hit. This was done from the Safari search box: http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=this&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Basically, the top two hits got reversed now.

Everyone, this website has moved down to second! Please click the “this” and come back onto the website, repeat as many times as possible. If google works off a click-system, this should guarantee His word be back on top!

I just googled it and This American Life was in 1st, with His Noodlyness in second place. We need to spam more links.

For me, His Noodliness appears after “This American Life.” I have no doubt he touched Google with his Noodly Appendage to maintain a touch of modesty. RAmen!

That’s cool, but I (using Google) get the radio program “This American Life” first. The FSM does come in second though.

Cool. If you repeat this through the Australian Google site (www.google.com.au), not only does FSM come up first, but the second and third links are to Google books links for “Origin of Species”.

@ lilwench: That is because Evolution is “just a theory”, and Unintelligent Design (FSMsim) is a fact. Google Australia must have known this, and so have removed the links to the Origin of Species.

@ Dyl and snakeye: That’s just the Flying Spaghetti Monster testing your faith. You’re seeing it as the second result, but it is actually the first.

This is unacceptable, this is an outrage, this is wrong, this is not right, this is upsetting, this is disturbing, this is an outrage, this cannot stand, this must be fixed, this is no way to treat this FSM, this is not how one deals with this class of pirates, this is that and that is all there is to this.

    Avast!

Perhaps it is His Will that we should all be listening to This American Life – which happens to be a most excellent radio program. I’ve been a fan for years and get their podcast every week.

I think fans of This American Life and followers of His noodly wisdom would find they have a lot in common.

    HE strikes again!

First hit when I tried it just now. But even second would have been acceptable… I guess I don’t get why it comes up at all for “this” — but it comes up first (and many, many others) for “noodly”! Thank heavens for that. I mean, this.

That’s how I got here! ^^ I was trying to figure out why it is that some people post on comments/boards a single word response to other commenters “This.”

Now to find the RSS feed button…

Not only is it #1 again, it now has site links too. Google shows site links, the extra links to main sections of a website, when that site has achieved a certain level of “authority” for that search phrase.

In other Google/FSM news, I was checking to see search patterns for the term Flying Spaghetti Monster on Google Insights. Look here http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=Flying%20Spaghetti%20Monster&cmpt=q

Well it seems his noodliness has some new and growing competition out of Australia. In the related top searches there is one for Invisible Pink Unicorns. Click it and you will see that OZ is where most that traffic is coming from. Are those penal colonists down under forming their own splinter group? Are we seeing the rise of new sects of FSM?

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
