Good fun, at what cost?

Published April 4th, 2009 by Bobby Henderson

What a great way to invest your time and I really appreciate your sense of humor. Sadly, there is a human emotion, or response called “regret.” For example, a drunk driver wakes up in a jail cell with no memory of the night before. He is walked over in hand cuffs to a “service window” and told he is being booked or vehicular man slaughter. It turns out he ran a red light, struck a SUV with a family of 5, killing 2 children under the age of 5.

The joy you receive running this web site is probably pretty big. I’m sure you love the ignorant hate mail you receive or the attention from other joy seeking worldly people.

My question to you is, do you consider yourself a good person? On the day of judgment when you’re standing in front of a Holy and righteous God, how will you fare? What kind of remorse do you think you, and others you may be leading away from God will feel when they are turn away from the gates of Heaven and cast in to the pits of Hell for not repenting for the Sin we are all guilty for? You have you ever lied, stolen or committed adultery within your heart?

I don’t honestly believe that you’re going to reply with some miracle response that says “yes, you’re right I will repent and follow Jesus.” Do yourself a favor. Do some research and really consider what you’re basing the fate and existence of your eternal soul on. If you decide to follow your current path, good luck friend. If you find yourself with even the slightest doubt of the certainty of your eternal soul then I suggest you pick up your Bible, read it and do what it says.

God Bless,

Nick

How do you know that on Judgement Day you won’t arrive in heaven to face the FSM? We are both on the same level.

`Do some research and really consider what you’re basing the fate and existence of your eternal soul on.’
I’m basing the fate and existence of my eternal soul on the following concepts:
    1. If your god is real, and is as loving as you guys say he is, then he wouldn’t throw me in hell just for doing something as stupid as doubting his existence.
    2. If your god is real, and is enough of a bitch to throw me in hell just because of said stupidity, I’m pretty sure satan has the right idea.
    3. If my god is real, I will forever live in a place with endless beer volcanos as far as the eye can see, and also a stripper factory.
So, the way I see it, it’s a win-win-win situation.
    rAmen.

SERIOUSLY? That two year old kid from Indonesia that smokes forty cigarettes is INSANE. Someone needs to kick his folks a few times, or just launch them into the ocean I saw the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TOtoVEJSTU

    - let me rephrase this to you, correcting those parts that need to have an “historical adjustment”, and those that are mislead:
-On the day of “judgment” word that was invented by the nordics as Ragnarok and the Bablylonians as in the tale of Isthar and Anu, in which case, or we will see a massive war between gods like Odin, Tyr, Loki, or we will see the dead rise and eat the living according to the threats of Isthar, when you´re standing in front of a Holy and righteous “God/Zeus” because that is the real terminology of the word, and he is so righteous that leaves his choosen brethren in the hands of the nazis, (but he have the free time to torture the egyptians for doing the same), so righteous that order to destroy other nations, ask for no mercy against his enemies, wishes almost the destroy of all the cities leaving only the jew intact, how will you fare?, what kind of remorse will you and others you may be leading away from God/Zeus will feel when they are turn away from the gates of Heaven and cast in to the pits of Hel, goddess of Niflheim, because Hel is the true origin of the english word hell, for not repenting for the Sin we are all guilty for, (ignoring that God commits the same sins than ours but anyway, he is God, so he can be forgiven), You have you ever lied like your God, that say that he will always protect the jewish people and they are given the holocaust, the inquisition, and other nice gifts, stolen Gods from other religions and named demons for the own good of christianity or committed adultery like modern priests within your heart?”…

my friend, you see now how Ridiculous this sounds?…

    - Ok, let´s do it and make some research, you are aware of the attacks of christian belief on Christ because there are not historical accounts other than bible that prove that Jesus ever existed, this question was raised many times and I still have not seen any christian believer that can give another answer than the usual, the bible, so… I will help you a little and give you the advice, there is another probably source of information and comes from an unusual site, tibetan monk Tuesday Lobsang Rampa, in his book “Doctor from Lhasa”, claims that his master has already reached Nirvana, and can visit him as astral body, many scholars claim all to be false, and the story of how a man that has not visited never Lhasa claims now to be a reincarnated monk, (as stated in one of his books, The Third Eye), we are not discussing here if he is just another lunatic claiming nonsense of he really believe what he was saying, the fact is: that Rampa were instructed by his master to write these books in western world in order to show a more spiritual world to man, and, his instructor warned him about catholic faith and christians, he used almost the same words as Gandhi “I Like your Christ, but not you christians”, acording to Rampa, Jesus really existed, but he did not wander 30 years in the desert only being followed by a tempting serpent with nothing better to do in his serpentine life, instead, he claims that Jesus reached Lhasa, and he studied in Potala under the most wise tibetan monks of those time, the master of Rampa also claims that Christ, “invented a very very good religion, based in the teachings of Budha”, unfortunately, he also says that “the christianism that now is being practiced IS NOT the religion that Jesus created”, Rampa claims that there are writings in Lhasa and Potala that corrobore this story, and if this is right, then you have 1 a proof that Jesus really existed, 2 unfortunately that Jesus created a religion in parallel with the teachings of Budha, (many of his words and stories and teachings have indeed a great similitud with those of Budha), and your heaven turns into Nirvana, and your hell into Sansara, of course, you can claim all you want that Rampa is a lier, but then again, what in the world have those tibetan monks to gain for making such stories?, nothing at all, you can organize your own expedition to Lhasa and find your answers, you that are in such a need of research.

“I suggest you pick up your Bible, read it and do what it says.”

No thank you, because I probably ended “destroying nations, killing enemies, burning cattle, crashing gods and writtings of other cultures, and start thinking that earth is flat”

again dear pastafarians, sorry for bad english is not my native language :)

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

i’m kinda sad seeing this sort of thing, this man is concerned, and for once isn’t some troll telling us to go burn, and all you guys are doing by leaving these comments is pushing this idea of us being “religion bashers” we need to be accepting of others opinions, religions, creeds, and faith. if they choose to see us this way, very well. the chances we’ll change others minds by saying things like “Whenever I see a bible, I offer a moment of silence to the tree that was cut down to make it…such a waste of paper.” is hghly unlikely, and gives TCoftFSM (and members of it) a bad name.

    • midnight_rider says:

      That’s a funny joke.

    • Cap'n Flint says:

No, Silver, we do not need to be “accepting of others opinions, religions, creeds, and faiths.” We will not drink the Kool Aid of the mythology of religion. We aren’t here to change others adamant fundamentalist minds. Our role is to appeal to rational people through irony and sarcasm to keep mythology out of science classes.

  7. Bluebear says:

Well at least you spent a great deal of time deciding which religion (if any) you were going to follow. The sad thing is that you probably just inherited your particular brand of Christianity from your parents or your hometown. Oh well, The FSM loves you, and shall always be with you wherever you are.

my response to any question that asks “what will you put the fate of your eternal soul in?” is simple.

    NOT fear

whatever ISN’T fear is what gets my admiration.

    • Keith says:

      Well said, Kakistos.
