How can you know God is a FSM

How can you know that God is a F.S.M. if he is invisible? If he is invisible how can you see him?

What is said on this website, in your books and amongst yourselves doesn’t change what the Bible and the real word of God says. Gods word is like gravity, just because people don’t believe in it doesn’t mean it’s not true and doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences to jumping off of a cliff. Someone can easily say “I don’t believe in gravity because I can’t see it, etc..because it’s an old belief….” but that doesn’t change the fact that it is there. This is like Gods laws for all of humanity.

Have any of you ever seen your own brain? Does that mean that it isn’t there? Have any of you ever seen your heart? Does that mean that it isn’t inside your body still beating? Have any of you ever seen your soul? Does that meen that it isn’t there?

The fact is that we do have souls and I heard it put this way “If God did not exist than man would create one” and this is what has been done with the F.S.M. group. You have created a God and the Bible calls this idol worship. Often times groups in the Bible would create an idol to worship because they couldn’t see or hear or touch God.

God’s fingerprints are on all of creation and more and more scientists and peole are recognizing this alike. Antony Flew, one of the worlds most famous atheists has recently said that there is a God and one who is intelligent. The Bible does say clearly that man was created in his image (Genisis 1:27) so we know that God is not a flying spaghetti monster.

On another note, God’s word was written because He loves us and showed his unending love for us through his son Jesus Christs death on the cross and ultimatley, His resurrection from the grave. Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation comes through Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone (John 14:6).

I would recommend that anyone who is a follower of this group to read not only the Bible but a series of books from a former atheist called “The Case for Christ” and “the Case for Creator” and from there you can draw your own conclusions. If you are truly seeking for answers in life than I would encourage all of you to search for those answers and don’t just give up by creating your own religion/idol.

Romans 3:23 says that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. That means you, me and everyone else in the entire world.

Think about it, if all the people in the world were on a boat in the middle of the ocean and the ship was going down and there were no lifeboats, everyone would need a Savior no matter how hard they tried to save themselves. That savior is Jesus Christ. Every other religion in the world is saved through works and Christianity is the only one where we are saved by our faith alone. Once a person proclaims that Jeesus is Lord it is up to that person to live his/her life for Him.

I hope that this has been some help to all of you.

How can you know that God is part of a trinity if he is invisible? If he is invisible how can you see him?

What is said on this website, in your books and amongst yourselves doesn’t change what the Beeble and the real word of Gawd says. Gawd’s word is like gravity, just because people don’t believe in it doesn’t mean it’s not true and doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences to jumping off of a cliff. Someone can easily say “I don’t believe in gravity because I can’t see it, etc..because it’s an old belief….” but that doesn’t change the fact that it is there. This is like Gawds laws for all of humanity.

Have any of you ever seen your own brain? Does that mean that it isn’t there? Have any of you ever seen your heart? Does that mean that it isn’t inside your body still beating? Have any of you ever seen your soul? Does that mean that it isn’t there?

The fact is that we do have souls and I heard it put this way “If Gawd did not exist than man would create one” and this is what has been done with the God group. You have created a Gawd and the Beble calls this hamburger worship. Often times groups in the Beeble would create a hamburger to worship because they couldn’t see or hear or touch Gawd.

Gawd’s fingerprints are on all of creation and more and more scientists and people are recognizing this alike. Antony Flew, one of the worlds most famous atheists has recently said that there is a Gawd and one who is intelligent. The Beeble does say clearly that man was created in the image of his nose (Guiness 1:27) so we know that Gawd’s nose looks like a bearded old man.

On another note, Gawd’s word was written because He love us and showed his unending love for us through his nephew Jose Cuervo’ death on the autobahn and ultimatley, His pancake resurrection from the grave. Willy Lomans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth that Jose Cuervo is Lord, and believe in your heart that Gawd raised his pancake recipe from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation comes through Jose Cuervo and Jose Cuervo alone (June 14:6).

I would recommend that anyone who is a follower of this group to read not only the Beeble but a series of books from a former atheist called “The Case for Cuervo” and “the Case for Gawd” and from there you can draw your own conclusions. If you are truly seeking for answers in life than I would encourage all of you to search for those answers and don’t just give up by creating your own religion/idol.

Willy Lomans 3:23 says that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Gawd”. That means you, me and everyone else in the entire world.

Think about it, if all the people in the world were on a boat in the middle of the ocean and the ship was going down and there were no lifeboats, everyone would need a stiff drink no matter how hard they tried to save themselves. That drink is Jose Cuervo. Every other religion in the world is saved through works and Cuervosity is the only one where we are saved by our faith alone. Once a person proclaims that Jose is Lord it is up to that person to live his/her life for Him.

I hope that this has been some help to all of you.

You like many others who write on this hate mail wall fail to see the point … which just confirms your ignorance. The fsm is your God…Go back to the page where the letter about the fsm was sent to the Kansas school … now everywhere you see fsm, put the word god or jesus … sounds just about the same. The point of this fsm is to prove how ridiculous you and any one else who believes in your “”"god”" is, how ridiculous the thought of god and jesus is.
Sorry to burst your bubble but Just because you believe in god does not make him real. The existence of gravity and our brains have been proven by science… the existence of god or jesus… NOT.
If god loved us so much… why did 6 million jews die? why did thousands suffer on 9/11 ? why is daniel hauser (whom is from a very religious family ) dying of cancer ? why are innocent children raped and killed every day ? why did god choose the asshole bush to run our country ? and the bible…? he seems to be a-ok with killings, rapings, and beatings ? your god…. sounds like a sick sick person. the bible seems to lack morality in its own? if i decided to kill my son on the top of a hill in the name of jesus, cause he told me too… is that ok?
out of curiosity, do you believe in zues the thunder god? because that story has existed long before jesus and controlling thunder isnt much compared to turning water into wine, healing the sick, walking on water, and telling one to offer his daughters to a whole town.
how do you explain other saviors / heroes in other beliefs written much before the story of christ have very similar characteristics? maybe that book you believe in is plagiarized.
you should probably think about it … is that idea you call god… reeally great ? and loving…. read the bible over and ask that.
then ask yourself if you really believe his existence.

    This just in from CNN.COM!
The world’s oldest known Christian Bible goes online Monday — but the 1,600-year-old text doesn’t match the one you’ll find in churches today.

The British government bought most of the pages of the ancient manuscript in 1933.

1 of 2 Discovered in a monastery in the Sinai desert in Egypt more than 160 years ago, the handwritten Codex Sinaiticus includes two books that are not part of the official New Testament and at least seven books that are not in the Old Testament.

The New Testament books are in a different order, and include numerous handwritten corrections — some made as much as 800 years after the texts were written, according to scholars who worked on the project of putting the Bible online. The changes range from the alteration of a single letter to the insertion of whole sentences.

And some familiar — very important — passages are missing, including verses dealing with the resurrection of Jesus, they said.
    ————————————-
So, if the BuyBull is the word of god, as you say, then is god contradicting himself, or did he suddenly remember something he forgot earlier? Could it be that early Christians felt the need to “pep up” their sales brouchure? Make the life/death/rebirth of Jesus a little sexier?

I hope this has been of some help to YOU, AM.

I’m afraid you’re words fall upon deaf ears my friend. What is it that you hoped to accomplish by saying this? We all here are Pastafarians, and we are probably not going to change our beliefs just because you decided to post a message that contains several arguments and methods that are both outdated and unoriginal. They have been disproven and knocked aside several times, but yet christians still cling to them. I guess their running out of cute little catch phrases or attempts at intellectual arguments, so they cling to ones that seem strong to them. If only you had been touched by his noodly appendage then you’d understand.

    You’res truly,
    Brother Meatball

p.s. (why do people sign messages? it annoys the crap out of me. what also ticks me off is when people leave p.s. messages, why cant they just find someway to insert what they were going to say into their comment?)

  7. 357 - Darth Vidar - Jul 29th, 2009

Thankyou CD for your views. I have taken your challenge seriously and read the bible and though I have yet to get around to the other texts you have recommended I so far have been underwhelmed with the supposed ‘loving and kindness’ quality of your deity you have been leading us to believe. One example taken directly from the bible:

Leviticus 24:10-16,23 Now the son of an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an Israelite. The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name with a curse; so they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri the Danite.) They put him in custody until the will of the LORD should be made clear to them.

Then the LORD said to Moses: “Take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him. Say to the Israelites: ‘If anyone curses his God, he will be held responsible; anyone who blasphemes the name of the LORD must be put to death. The entire assembly must stone him. Whether an alien or native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death.

Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. The Israelites did as the LORD commanded Moses.

I have no qualms of you preaching your deity here, though many of my fellow Pastafarians appear to have issues with this (as made evident by this hate mail thread). I do have a problem with your claims though. If you are to preach in our religion’s forums at least state the truth about your deity. Your deity is not the loving saviour you make him out to be. Most people in these forums would be put to death if your deity had your way. In respect that I have misunderstood your challenge I will read the other texts you have presented this forum, maybe they will help me understand where you are coming from.

Jack (#356), I see you have made multiple posts in our forums and similarly to CD I would like you to preach truth here and not take evidence out of context. The computer generated drawings of these Laminin, otherwise not being sufficient effidence of such a weighty claim, is simply false. These Laminins look like this
    http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0kaYRa9Aoww/SMrfVFYI6ZI/AAAAAAAAABk/za-aAC3swLk/S150/laminin.jpg
Sure its a cross but does not resemble ‘The Cross’ you preach besides from the fact that both are the intersection of two lines, albeit the Lamino cell’s lines are rather crooked. I would rather you post real disputable evidence rather than this ‘conjecture’. Once again does this really matter? We will all know the truth when we die.

What I was going to say was: Can we say grasping at straws? If that is your proof that the invisible sky daddy exists, then look through the images on this website. The FSM is obviously real because we see His Noodly Appendages everywhere.

But I think that Darth Vidar said it better :)

And throwing quotes at us from a book we’re mocking isn’t going to change anybody’s mind. That is like me trying to show a vegetarian a cookbook while pointing to meat saying, “See it looks tastey!”

Im not a psychologist. But I’m sure there is a name for the psycological tendency people are so fond of to view the world so negatively, this is seen in many religious people and I praise his noodleyness that I am free of it.
I am referring to the last paragraph where you compare the world to a sinking boat, I thought to myself “yeh, he’s got a point…But what if it was just a floating boat?” and LO! suddenly you dont need a saviour. But I find it very interesting that people find comfort in putting themselves in a position of submission, and apology.I dont know where in evolution(?) this became advantagious to us as a species, but morally I believe(?) that to think life is something we should throw away to apologise to a deity (real or not) for being alive is a shame more than anything. I also believe that it is very important to note that……theres a flying spaghetti monster in the sky and he’s gonna GET YOU!

Seriously, you can not image how fun I’m having reading these hatemails and responses to them. It’s really cracking me up :D I’m surprised how this Bobby Henderson guy didn’t see the contradiction in his own logic. Quote: “The Bible does say clearly that man was created in his image (Genisis 1:27) so we know that God is not a flying spaghetti monster.” How quick of you to smash the idea of god being a FSM, since the Bible ‘obviously’ says so… But who says the Bible’s word is true? If someone says it is true, how can you say that person is speaking the truth? It’s just a b-o-o-k after all. If we were to take that logic and apply it to the FSM, it would make just as much sense as your ‘true God’. This website clearly says that the FSM exists, so ‘obviously’, how can your god exist? See the point? Written word versus written word. And of course you can point out the fact that FSM was created/discovered only a little while ago, but your true god was discovered thousands of years ago and the holy bible was written two milleniums ago, so the bible must be more legitimate, of course. HELLO! Even the world was thought to be flat just a few centuries ago. Did it ever occur that the bible might be full of errors? It is known that the very original bible doesn’t exist anymore, that it has been rewritten multiple times. Maybe the bible wasn’t originally even a religious piece. Maybe it was a story book? How could you know? Because the book nowadays says it’s the real deal? You could just aswell go to the library and grab a book from the fantasy section and be in total aw at how it says that the Matrix is actually real! :p Or how about toying with the idea that what if the bible was actually about FSM? I guess you’d have to believe it then, since it would say that it is real? Just because a book says that it is real. And what a book it is. There is only one fact that I’ve heard to have been proven true in the bible – that there was a man called Jesus about two milleniums ago, but the shit about reincarnation and stuff like that; it’s all fantasy from there on. I’m not sure what it’s in english but in finnish we call it “rikkinäinen puhelin”. Straight translation would be “Broken phone”. You know where you whisper a sentence to someone’s ear and they pass it on, and it keeps passing on to different persons. The sentence, on it’s way to the last person, is likely to change form even if everyone were to try not changing it. Actually, it’s more likely to change multiple times, depending how many person’s are playing the game. I think that could be the issue with the bible. Over centuries, and not mere minutes, the likelyhood that its contents have changed significantly is undeniable. There might have been even a few jokers on the way who decided to add bits and pieces of their own ideas to the bible that they got their hands at the time. Yes, maybe they delibarately changed it over time. HOW CAN YOU KNOW? And still you read the bible, blindly, believing every damn word it says, without pausing to take a breath and think: “What if this isn’t true? How can the book itself prove itself to be true? Can I really trust this book, not knowing who has tempered with it? etc.” I would also like to quote something that someone had written earlier but I now can’t find it :p Mr. Bobby tries to give an argument: “Have any of you ever seen your own brain? Does that mean that it isn’t there?” Mr. Someone gave it out flat; atleast it has been proven that the human brain exists – many brain surgeons have seen it, touched it, and for our delight, even taken pictures of it, so the whole world can see that it exists! But there is no solid and undeniable evidence that might suggest that god exists. The only thing that suggests so is the little funny book called the bible. Which is a question mark itself. And if some religious person is reading this now, your blood is probably boiling at the moment, and you probably want to point out that the great divine FSM, who leads us with the touch of his noodly appendige, is ridiculous. Well I don’t care :D I think the noodly FSM is a great idea. I have no belief in it whatsoever, but I like the idea, and the way that it sends out the message: Be sceptical, don’t believe everything, even if it is the common belief. Use your brain! You are proven to have one. And I hope I emptied everything I had in mind into this reply :) PS. I don’t really care who believes in god and who doesn’t. But I hate the fact that those believing in god attack those who don’t. Maybe they are so insecure about their true beliefs that they have to put some thrust into it? Well I guess I understand them; I’d also try to hold on to what I think is real and what I want to be real, even if it isn’t. Basic psychology. But it makes much more sense and feels more solid to build your image of reality on facts that have undergone scientific examination and have supporting evidence. Though I’m not saying that science can’t be wrong, because it sometimes is, errors are made – and they are corrected. Coming back to the example of figuring out that our planet indeed is round and not flat. Oh yeah and one more thing. Quote: “If you are truly seeking for answers in life than I would encourage all of you to search for those answers and don’t just give up by creating your own religion/idol.” How does that differ from joining a religion that someone else created? Meaning being christian? And don’t tell it’s because of the book…. :D :D :D

Laminins do help to hold us together, but collagen is far more common in mammals like ourselves. Mitochondria are also undeniably important to life as we know it; larger life forms, like animals, plants, and fungi, would be pretty much impossible without them, because they provide the energy necessary for any significant physical activity. In these micrographs, you can clearly see tentacle-like membranes reaching throughout the mitochondria, showing the presence of the Spaghetti Monster within all of us.

Ah, CD! Come now, I read barely half of your “hate letter” and already I see so many contradictions! First, I’m sorry. But anyone who does not believe in gravity surely must be ignorant beyond belief. We, as humans, have created science, just like we, as humans, have created EVERY God recorded in history. People are “saved” when they turn to Christianity, people will turn to Jesus before they die in their watery graves? Well, you do have that partly right. People are best manipulated when afraid. Your bible is written by man, the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is written by man, your God is created by man, the Fly Spaghetti Monster is created by man.
All in all, you know what is best about my argument? You will never have ANY evidence to prove me wrong, but I have nearly endless amounts of evidence to prove you wrong. Uncanny, isn’t it?
You will probably never realize the endless flaws in your religion. But do not fret, because the more you argue with me, the more I will be happy to point out things such as: “But CD, look at this! Here is the same story of Jesus roughly 3,000 years before his story was created! Oh, also, look at all of the proof of how old the Earth and our Solar System is! Oh, what’s this? Would you look at how similar these bones are it’s as if over time they’ve evolved! Etc…” It really can never end. :D

Except for the fact that we can measure gravity and make matmatical formulas on how it works….

I always get annoyed when people pull out the bible as evidence ’cause except in a debate between christians etc it has absolutly no power as evidince. It’s Just like arresting a canadian in Canada undr US Law.

Yeeeeah… Dude, seriously. You ask how we can know God is a FSM… How can YOU know that he’s NOT? Seriously, your religion and all religions are just as plausible as ours. So if you think FSM is retarded as fuck… Well, I gues you think that yours is too, huh?

When I converted to FSM, my life got completely and utterly 100% better. My prayers were answered more. I started to have faith, not just blindly following something out of fear of where I might end up. And you know what I was most worried about with Christianity?

That in both Heaven and Hell… Christians have no pasta.

When I found this I was completely happy. So seriously, ‘your religion is a joke’ just doesn’t bother me. Our religion wasn’t meant to offend, only to enlighten.

So have fun in your beer-pasta-and-stripper-less ‘heaven,’ biotch.

The non-existence of God is just a matter of faith.

The existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is also a matter of faith. Good quality Sunday Gravy aids the faithful. Don’t forget the gravy.

(Note: Sunday Gravy is an Italian-American expression meaning home made spaghetti sauce.)

Atchually gravity is a theory you cannot prove it is gravity that holds the universe together every idea is a theory until proved true it is impossible to prove anything false. Also if gods word is the bible then he must be a right 2 faced tard considering the amount of contradictions in it. ‘Thou shalt not kill’, ‘there is a time to kill’, oposites how the hell do you know what to believe if you follow the bibles teachings which cant even make its own mind up.

Science is giving more evidence of a creator. Evolution violates many laws in science and I will admit, I was swindeled at a young age of believing in nothing. I on the other hand have gotten into FSM, wasnt fond of it. I am much happier being a christian because it goes by the Bible and it is a hard life to live. I just like challenges and there is nothing more challenging than christianity. ‘Thou shalt not kill’, ‘there is a time to kill’ For the thou shalt not kill part, you shall not kill out of sin. For the, ‘there is a time to kill’ part, well there is a part when David kills goliath and it was acceptable. It was not out of jealously, anger, etc. You just have to read the Bible. It is not that hard. There are a lot of metaphors, so use your imagination. So I am new at this. If I have to debate I will read the Bible like no one else. I have never found a contridiction in it. It actually is scientifically accurate, the Bible. I know it is not a science book, but it is completely accurate.

Hey Kali Elizabeth Diamond? Jesus saves us from our sins. You probably wonder why God lets bad things happen? Well it is man who lets bad things happen. God lets us choose from good and evil. Evil is the absence of Good. like cold is the absence of air with increasing kinetic energy. I hear people most of the time say, “Why does God let bad things happen?” Well we let it. There is a God. Scientific evidence is piling up now as techonolgy gets better. Evolution is falling apart and is a violator of science. It is but only a philosophy. Filled with what “ifs” People in the future will probably be lik, “I can’t believe people believed in evolution” Kind of like today when you drop a penny and a 10 pound rock they hit the ground at the same time. Aristotle just didnt use science and thought it up using common sense. I really want science to join with religion. I go around churches to let the people know to not give up on science because what you hear on the media is false and science is just more and more evidence.

    @ -388-389 – D,

You’ve come to our website, and you’ve obviously ignored the directive to read the Open Letter and the “About” tab material. You could have learned that our purpose is the exclusion of religious mythology from the science curricula of the public schools.

In the mean time, since you’ve proposed your own mythology, it is up to you to prove to us the existence of your deity. Mis-quoting from a Hebrew/ Koine book that you probably can’t read is not accepted as proof. You must know the language, who wrote it, when it was written, and the politics and economics of the authors and editors before we can have a clear rational discussion about it.

Your rage demonstrates clearly that you are out of rational debating strategies. Why don’t you stay in school and learn science, math, and philosophy? It will make the world seem a much safer place than what you’ve heard from the pulpit. Start by studying this observation by astronomer Carl Sagan:

“How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, ‘This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed’? Instead they say, ‘No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.’” – Carl Sagan

I have seen dissected bodies in a morgue. I saw brains and hearts. I did NOT see a soul, so I
doubt its existence. No one has ever seen a soul, so why would you think one exists?

D, regarding your posts 387, 388, instead of just spewing, try actually presenting some actual evidence that your jeebus bullshit on a stick story is real. You don’t actually have any evidence for your god, but we do for ours. Pasta and the FSM are with you every day.

You’d probably spew a lot less if you just accepted the one true god, the FSM. instead of your fictional jeebus. And eating some pasta might stop your spewing anyway, since it doesn’t taste as awful as that Christian crapola that you’ve been swallowing.

All you are doing is proving how much you don’t know. There is plenty of evidence for evolution (fossil records, DNA, you know… scientific stuff). Those holes in evolution are caused by this thing called the earth. See, there are earthquakes, erosion, and volcanoes. All of these things can destroy fossils. And considering the age of the fossils (millions of years), we are lucky when we find any at all. Scientists don’t even think that we know close to the number of dinosaurs that actually lived, but you want us to hand you the entire evolutionary map on a platter? Are you mad?

But then you go and really throw me when you say the buybull is accurate. You do know that there is no documented history of the slaying of the innocents, they cannot line up the Herod/Jesus timeline, and there is not a lot of proof that this Jesus actually existed. A book full of contradictions written 2 centuries after Jesus supposedly died is something I cannot believe in. You need to remove the wool from your eyes.

What right does anyone have to tell people that their wrong. We who believe in the FSM are not hurting anyone by beleiving or not believing. So why do people feel the need to challenge that. This was started by x-ian extremism whoever thinks that the same strategy will end it has sadly missed the point.

It is he who runs this wonderful website, and it is he who posts all the hate mail on the site. He doesn’t write it (like you misinterpretted), he just posts it :D

You what? Evolution violates the ‘laws of science’? Would you kindly give an example of how that works?

It is clear that you are deluding yourself from your claim that the Bible is completely accurate, and I think that if you have found no contradictions in it whatsoever, you’re possibly reading the wrong book. This is what happens if you listen to your preachers claims that evolution has no tangible or sensible evidence behind it. Quite the contrary to what you’ve said, Evolution by natural selection is being confirmed even more by the discovery of intermediate fossils, which funnily enough, are found in exactly the right geological strata and location that they were expected to be.

And finally, I agree that humans do create evil and suffering to some degree, however, this does not account for things like viruses, and parasitic wasps that paralyze their prey, then deposit their eggs inside and wait for the larvae to eat the victimized caterpillar from the inside out. A loving creator would have either not created these things, or would have come up with a way for them to survive without causing so much pointless suffering.

If you think scientific evidence is in support of the creationist argument, you’re probably listening too much to uneducated Christians who claim they are scientists. You may as well say that science is finding more and more evidence to support the theory that the Sun orbits the Earth.

Peace and Pasta be upon you.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
