Scanning my biology book last week, my fellow Pastafarian Evan and i were struck with amazement as to what we saw. What the words described as a “repressor protein” we clearly recognized as His Noodliness. Once again, His noodly appendage is thrust into science to show the non-believers that He created everything that there is. I thought it strange that He touched us because Evan and i are from Green Bay, where last year that whole City Hall Christmas display debacle occurred and when someone tried to put up a likeness of Him next to the manger, our mayor publicly criticized our religion in the city newspaper.

I was a disbeliver at first. While helping my buddies design a poster for the genetics class, I noticed the holy symbol on the diagram. My buddies also saw this and were convinced! The holy FSM has guided us to his warm noodly lap, and we found this site! Bless you brothers and sisters, let us sing to the glory of the almighty FSM, RAMEN!
A google image search of repressor protein shows a whole bunch of images that don’t look like his noddliness, perhaps we have a fellow pastafarian in the textbook art biz?

There are in the human body alone tons of repressor proteins (or “controller proteins” if you will :P ) I will search protein databases and if I find the protein in question I will post the name and link in this comment section

Yey, I found it in another book (lehninger principles of biochemisty fourth edition) the protein in question is a LAC repressor protein.
when a cell is provided with lactose a LAC operon (activator) is induced. This will bind onto the LAC repressor wich then swiches of the activator.
