I don’t know about it being good… but I like the concept.

Someone is trying to insult His Noodliness by putting him next to Starbucks!

I’m only dissing Starbucks. I can go to my local coffee shop and get fair trade coffee that tastes twice as good and cost’s 1/3 of the price…
Like I said, I like the concept, and the art, just not the venue.

    Deanna,

He is referring to Starbuck’s not being good. Or are you suggesting that Optimus is not good at making coffee, in which case the question is:
How do you know each other?

“And on the Third Day He Created Starbucks and saw that it was Good.”

Proof of unintelligent design, I’d say.

optimus, not only is starbucks the only fair trade coffee shop here in okinawa (that i am aware of) it is also the best coffee on island (besides that coming from my kitchen) most importantly, it has the best location to spread the word… before i left, i made sure to ‘chalk’ the website. i would encourage all to try chalking, the bubbly feelings you get inside is like cooking pasta in your heart. Was it Starbucks that was good or his noodle? Sounds sexual to me.

Does the FSM drink coffee? I only ask as too much might burn him, though I expect he is impervious to such things, unless he does not want to be unaffected by coffee. Could the varying shades of the FSM’s Noodley Appendages in different appearances of Him throughout history be down to what coffee he consumed that day? Or perhaps I am reading too much into this, and the FSM was merely lost and consulting his Pocket Universe Map. Whatever the case, it’s a lovely picture. RAmen to you Deanna.

I think what totally blows my mind is out of all the Starbucks in the world… I’ve actually been to that one in Okinawa. Why couldn’t have I been there that day to be blessed by His Noodleness!?

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
