When you say “major evidence” are you then by any chance referring to the bible. If so, let me ask you a simple question: Do you consider a collection of old texts, written by more or less unknown/unaccounted for authors, to be major evidence? Then maybe you should consider turning to the ancient Greek or Egyptian Pantheon.

I think the point he was really trying to make but fell short of expressing was that that there is major evidence that there is a god… though of course even that’s false. Douche

You stated that this could barely be considered a religion, yet we have everything Christianity has. We have a creator, several stories, songs (yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!), and yes, we do have over 10 million people. That’s a 30th of the US population. The US isn’t very populous in relation to the six billion of the world, so don’t complain.
The “evidence” towards Christianity is this: A guy got two rocks and said they were from god.
A probably drunk man wrote a book that says “and” far too often.

Yesterday I saw a statistic on CNN.com from a national survey saying that 20% of Americans either were atheists or did not subscribe to any organized religion. That’s over 60 million people.
Given that Pastafarians may actually be church-going people who have retained the ability to think rationally and accept evolution, it is not inconceivable that we number over 10 million, is it?

At first, I thought this was a fake page. The response I have seen here from christians were so idiotic that I thought they were made up by whomever controls this site to make christians look dumb, but holy shit I have come to the conclusion that even after reading this extremely funny and intelligent article that there really are a shitload of dumb christians out there. I’ve called myself a christian for a long time now, but each day I lose a little faith. It’s articles like this that help people realize their day-to-day absurdities-myself included.

What’s really scary I think, is that there are billions whom believe in god. Yes, there is something wrong with the world in this day and age of knowledge, when only a few don’t believe in your god.
We’re making our first trips into space, a base on the moon in another 10 years, ‘growing’ beef in the lab, closing in on fusion generators, building machines like the LHC to study big bang conditions! And most of us are still child like in our understanding of the world, looking over our shoulders, afraid of something that isn’t there.
Its a truely dangerous mix, science and mysticism. Scary stuff

The only major difference is that people joing this religion are smart and Christians tend to be not so intelligent. There was a big study about religion and intelligence and the result was that people who are more intelligent believe less in religion, the dumber the people the more they believe in religion. Christianity is evil. Just look at how it evolved in the first place! Everyone who did not want to believe in it was killed or punished! Sounds a bit like Hitler´s Germany. Also the church has too much power about the government. Church and government should be separate.
Apart from religion being bad for people it is just ridiculus and I am not just talking about Christianity. I am talking about all the religions out there. There is no evidence for anything like God and all the “evidence” that the church is giving us is just bullshit. No real prove! Did you ever really READ the Bible? I assume you are an adult and that you are able to read and think. Read it, think about it and then tell me if you still believe that everything that´s written there is true!

Just a point of interest, I am 100% in favour of the whole FSM idea but have to say in regards to Stuart’s comments on Jan 15th 2009. I would be MOST interested in any proof of GOD OR JESUS. Really. I am being completely honest. If I could get any sort of unambiguous proof, …. I would immediately become a Fundie.
Before you start spouting Bible references….. I have read that pile, and I have extensively researched the when, who, why and how the bible came about. As well as several alternatives. The basis of any religion is a complete contrivance as far as I can tell. First, Jesus didn’t even exist. That’s right. Please, just research it. The Bible is a forged concoction of propaganda.
