Anybody mind translating? I’m English and I speak English so… not a clue what that’s on about. :)

It’s a sign!
No, an actual sign!
…I think it means, like, get lost in the wonder of his noodliness.
Now all we need is a stop sign that says ‘Stop Creationists’ and I’ll have seen all the signs I need to.

Well i’m no expert… But id say it would translate to something like “lose yourself in fsm”. You know… to lose yourself if something… its so captivating… But i could also be talking out of my arse. From the looks of it they’ve just taken a sign that says “get lost” and tried to make something out of it.

Did anyone notice that dark spot in the upper left hand corner of that picture? Its proof of the FSM! He’s watching over us! or at least an everyday UFO. :)

The sign would have at some stage read “Get lost in Jesus” or some such rot.
Personally I like the UFO/possible FSM in the sky off left. If anybody does know what it is, don’t tell me, I really don’t want to know.

I’m American and I speak English and I’m not sure what this means either; I understand how one could “get lost in FSM” both philosophically and physically (in all those dangley noodles), but why did the original sign say “get lost”? Mysterious.
And the FSM is floating above the silos. I want to believe.

I think it means to wander in our theology in such admiration that you lose track of reality! It seems to work for the other religions.

@ Aesi,
It appears that someone played on an all ready existing unfriendly sign. Changing the meaning to Get lost in FSM. Or put slightly different ” Get lost in the FSM experience” meaning relax and lose yourself in the FSM experience.
Hope that helped.

I think it was supposed to say something stupid like “Get lost in God” and someone went and sprayed “FSM” instead of “God”

Clearly it said something like Get Lost in Jesus(‘lose yourself’)- you can see the Ts are actually crosses. Does the FSM condone vandalism though I wonder?

I suggest someone start a donation drive to pool enough money to put up a billboard or two in school districts or states that are considering creationism in science classes. It should be in the mold of ffrf.org’s billboard campaign. This will bring a lot of exposure to our nascent (or age-old) religion, and hopefully a lot of new members as well.

Like someone went in the middle of the night and had to park half a mile down the road in someone elses driveway and walk in the wet ditch and bring a ladder and drop to the ground at the sight of cars…. just to spray get lost in FSM. It did originally say “get lost in god” and was changed to “get lost god” then was changed back to “get lost in fsm”. And yes that is the spaghetti monster watching down upon his children and their work…

Towns with strange signs, grain silos and mysterious things in the sky are usually where movie teenagers get lost. Maybe this is the set of a horror movie and His Noodly Appendage has graciously agreed to do a cameo. Be cheap too, He can obviously do His own special effects.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
