i am concerned

I am concerned. This is a joke, right? i mean, people cannot seriously believe in a dinner option. I believe that this ‘pastafarian-ism’ started as a joke made by a lost soul who is against christianism. but reading this website, this has gone too far. i will not swear or mock your unique form of entertainment like others have, but please stop this madness. direct your anger away from christianism and into your own personal lives. Let us not poison the minds of the innocent people that use the internet. Thank you, and I shall be praying for you all.

Christianism? Is that a new form of Christianity?

And there are innocent people who use the internet? That’s news to me.

I guess you learn something new every day. Feel free to pray for me. I’ll be enjoying my beer and pasta.

Then don’t! We sure aren’t. And pleasee, why bother you imaginary buddy with “saving” us? I for one have no desire to be saved by a hypocritical believer, who sees the speck in my eye but cannot see past the beam in his own.

We are not against Christianism. We do not oppose religions that do not exist.

Perhaps you may be referring to Christianity? Whatever the case, we do not just limit ourselves to disbelieving only one religion, so don’t think yours is so special. Besides, we are just following our own personal beliefs. All religions oppose all other religions by saying that said religion is the only correct choice. So, we could say Christians should stop opposing Pastafarianism.

A few quotes from Richard Dawkins for extra thought:

“Like computer viruses, successful mind viruses will tend to be hard for their victims to detect. If you are the victim of one, the chances are that you won’t know it, and may even vigorously deny it. ”

“We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further. “

Christianity – The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree…

    Yeah, that makes perfect sense…

Where as you people are basically cannibals, we Pastafarians enjoy knowing that the FSM will love us, even if we are gay or something that your god frowns upon.

Can I interest you in some beer? Or is drinking against your rules? Is happiness against them? Must we all love what some carpenter did thousands of years ago, or we will have eternal pain? What is wrong with different beliefs? What makes YOU right and us wrong?

Bottom line: You can believe in your god, but we also have the right to believe in ours.

BTW, why were you on this website in the first place?

I am concerned. I mean, people seriously do not believe in the theory of evolution? I believe that Genesis was written thousands of years ago as metaphor for a group of people about their origins; but dictating that I teach theology disguised as science in my biology class is going too far. I do not swear or mock your beliefs like others have, but please stop this madness. Direct your anger away from science and my classroom and into your own personal lives. Let us not poison the minds of the innocent people that are attending a federally and state funded public school. Thank you.

Third, why should we “direct your anger… …into your own personal lives?” You are interfering with our personal lives by commenting on our websites. I agree that WE should “not poison the minds of the innocent people.” I think you should start by ceasing your hatred of other, accepting schools of thought. We disrespect YOU because you are the source of bigotry and hate.

Ok. I really hope some people read this comment.

    YOU = FAIL.

First of all, anyone with brains could tell that this isn’t a REAL religion. It’s a joke.

Second of all, anybody who has the time to even GO to this website and post hate mail has time to READ what it says. This is a website created as an example in a lawsuit against the Kansas School Board, who wants to teach intelligent design to children in school. Their new law would have stated that teachers can teach whatever alternative they want to children in school. The point of this ‘religion’ is just to illustrate that the law is a bad idea, because people could teach stuff like this.

Third of all, quit trying to sound so sophisticated, “Concerned Christian.” You’re clearly something like, maybe, 9 years old? You don’t even know the name of your religion. IT’S NOT ‘CHRISTIANISM”. It’s CHRISTIANITY. Get a life.

Fourth. Your religion is just as stupid. I mean, if you want to say “who could believe in a dinner option”, go ahead. But first, realize that your religion consists of eating bread and drinking fermented grape juice while you pretend that it is human flesh and blood. Bread = not a deity. And when you’re talking about poisoning souls, your religion promotes cannibalism with your communion.

I would type more, but i’m going to new york now. I hope some of you actually take the time to look at your own religion.

My sincerest gratitude for being polite and relatively intelligible.

There is nothing about Pastafarianism that is against Christianity, or Christianism as you put it. We are simply trying to point out the fallacy of creationism and intelligent as being an alternative theory of …, anything really. It just seems to be that those who push for creationism and intelligent design almost always tend to be Christians.

You pray for me and I will eat pasta for you.

Yes, this is a joke (at the expense of ID and prehaps a few hardcore christians). b) we are not at all about mocking christianity, we are actually about mocking creationism
    c) by the way, evolution does NOT go against anything in the bible (if you don’t read it completely literally – and it isn’t meant to be read literally anyway), so don’t say it does
    d) mocking christianity is just a side effect because most stupid creationists tend to be christians

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
