I am concerned. This is a joke, right? I mean, people cannot seriously believe in a zombie and an invisible cloud man. I believe that this “Christian-ity” started as a joke made by a lost soul who is against pastafarianism. But reading this letter, this has gone too far. I will not swear, but I will try to mock your unique form of entertainment, like others have yet to do, but please, stop this madness. Having read your letter, I believes it goes too far. I won’t curse you but stop this madness. Please direct your anger away from people who think differently than you do and into your personal life. Let’s not be patronizing to innocent internet users. I will pray to His Noodly Goodness that you will have fresh beer in your afterlife.

Anger? Almost all of the anger on this site is directed towards us Pastafarians by good, church-going people.
This site is a form of entertainment, but it has a serious purpose: to prevent the poisoning of minds through the teaching of (un)Intelligent Design in schools. We don’t need a theocracy setting science back to the Dark Ages. Thanks for your concern, though!

Dear Concerned Christian:
It’s not Christianism it’s Christianity. If you had been properly reading this site, you would have known that since it’s mentioned 20 million times.
We have the right of freedom of religion or freedom FROM religion. It says so in the Constitution, which I’m willing to bet you haven’t read either. Our choice is to place trust in the Flying Spaghetti Monster just as your choice is to worship a god that stuck his son to a cross to “save you” from your sins. I would love to watch your god stick our god to anything. It’s like nailing jell-o to a tree.
As for directing my anger toward Christians and not my personal life, I’ll do that as soon as you stop poking your head in my personal life. Yes, you do. Same-sex marriage. You tell me I can’t do that because it ruins the sanctity of marriage that god ordained. Well, that’s punching your faith into my life. So, in turn, I am going to punch into your life by telling you just how much you suck.
As for poisoning the minds of people on the internet, Christianity has already done that. A little corner of the internet reserved for Pastafarians isn’t really hurting anyone. We aren’t telling people how to live their lives or what they can or cannot do. It’s ridiculous that you even bring this up.
I hope you find your happiness somewhere as I have found mine in the FSM. At least here I know what to expect. I also look really good in pirate regalia, so I have that going for me.
RAmen.

Heh. Seriously, these letters are all coming from just a few people, right? Either that, or there really is an FSM-hate-mail gadget on some site where they just hit radio buttons to select boilerplate text, and which words will be horribly abused or misspelled, right?
> people cannot seriously believe in a dinner option.
Sure, there’s a lot of starvation in the world, but many of us do believe we have options for dinner. Or… what is it you were trying to say?

Oh, my.
> …started as a joke…your unique form of entertainment…please stop

Madness seems a harsh description of an entertaining joke.
> christianism
Again!? Look, at least learn the name of the religion you are attempting to defend. And then learn that this site isn’t intended to attack it. After that, learn that the hate mail posts by self proclaimed Christians are the worst possible attack on Christianity here.
> Let us not poison the minds of the innocent people that use the internet.

The idea that creationism might be taught in a Science classroom is no joke. That is what this site opposes. Many of us also object to the way Christianity “poisons the minds of others” and this site is an effective way to discredit them as well. It’s also funny, which is a nice bonus.
I don’t lead people away from Christianity. I lead them to think for themselves, which commonly has the same end result.

Your concern for us is misplaced. That “lost soul” is our Beloved Prophet. He has brought a message of hope for all those who have not yet been touched by the Flying Spaghetti Monster’s Noodly Appendage.
Our church is no more a “form of entertainment” than is yours. Of course, we Pastafarians do enjoy Friday with the obligatory grog and pasta.
I do agree with you when you said, “Let us not poison the minds of the innocent people that use the internet.” As soon as you stop, we’ll stop.

Dear Concerned Christian –
In your letter you state that you ‘[read] this website’, and that you ‘believe that this ‘pastafarian-ism’ [...] against christianism’
Obviously, if the first statement is true, the second one cannot be. Had you read the open letter, then you too would be chanting the prases to the Noodly One.
Secondly, what is ‘christianism’? I’ve heard of ‘Christianity’, or even phrases like ‘all of Christianity…’, but I’ve never heard christianism. Is that some breakaway splinter faction?

You claim to believe things about the site, and other matters, like prayer to _your_ personal sky-dwelling Doer Of Big Things.
Written evidence also shows that, rather than christianity, you profess to follow an obscure faith called “christianism” (is that anything like those “islamists” I’ve heard about?).
Anyway, I’m happy for you in your faith. Now please be happy for us in ours.
May His noodly appendage tickle you real good now,

Dear C.C.,
If you read and comprehended what you read, then you know that followers of the FSM think that most Christians are mad for slavishly believing everything told to them by their ministry. I don’t think Bobby is a “lost soul” as you claim, we believe our minds to be free, and that we have no souls to lose.
“Poison the minds of the innocent people that use the Internet.” WTF are you talking about?! Apparently, you’ve been surfing the Net with the filters set to High! There are not very many innocents on the net that I have seen. And if they don’t want to be contaminated by alternative views, I’d recommend that they sell their computers and go back to using tin-can telephones. Thank you for the polite letter!

PS: I don’t need your prayers. Get off your knees and experience some new concepts, like not judging others.

Dear Concerned Christian:
You are an idiot. Click the “about” tab. Strangely enough, it will open a page that will tell you about this religion.
Some other information you may find useful as you blunder forward in life:
1) There is no such word as “christianism” in the English language. In general usage, people say “Christianity”. Most followers of that particular version of nonsensical mythology tend to capitalize it out of respect. I’m temporarily forgoing my usual use of “xian” and related words in the (faint) hope that you’ll be able to understand what I’m typing.
2) I haven’t lost a soul. I don’t think anyone else here has lost one either, because I just checked the lost-and-found box at the front desk, and there are no souls in it.
3) “I will not swear or mock … but please stop this madness.” Can you spot the contradiction here? Take your time.
4) Shut the hell up. Who are you to tell us what we should and should not think about your foolish religion? What gives you the right to unilaterally decide that our views, beliefs and opinions are invalid? Do you remember anything in the First Amendment about freedom of religion? Do you go around telling Hindus and Navajos to stop their “madness”? Did we come to your xian website and tell you to turn away from the evil influence of the buy-bull? We didn’t?? Whaddaya know. How about if you return the favor and beat feet out of here.
Another dimwit xian who can’t see the nose on his own face.

Are you equally concerned about every religion that does not share your particular view of faith? Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Judaism – they all have websites. Are you concerned that they go too far as well, using the internet to poison the minds of innocent people? Perhaps you need to take your own advice and look into your own personal life. Don’t you have better things to do? We shall be praying for you, too.

“I believe that this ‘pastafarian-ism’ started as a joke made by a lost soul who is against christianism.”
Um, no. You really haven’t grasped the gist of Bobby’s argument, have you. It started as a reaction to attempts to insert intelligent design into public school curriculae. I.D. is a thinly veiled attempt to insert (christian) religious doctrine into public schools, but if you’ll remember:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” . . .
Evolution is not unconstitutional; I.D. is. Therefore, if an unconstitutional doctrine is allowed to be taught in schools, then the Church of the FSM humbly submits our own doctrine to be given equal time with evolution and I.D. Our beliefs, logically, are equally as valid as I.D.
Proponents of I.D. often use the argument that evolution is “just a theory”. This is true, but I.D. is an untested hypothesis, not a theory.
*****************************
“Let us not poison the minds of the innocent people that use the internet.”
Are you serious? Wow. Are you contending that FSM is a bigger danger to society than plans on how to build bombs, videos of jihadists cutting people’s heads off, porno (which constitutes the largest volume of internet traffic), hate groups, and people webcasting their own suicide? No, people need to learn to think for themselves. If you don’t like what you see at this site, then go surf somewhere else; it’s just that simple.

no this is not a joke, it is very serious. you are totally correct, and i share your concern. there are many innocent minds being polluted by this nonsense and other unfounded ideas which people claim to be backed up by observed evidence. its just lucky that this ’science’ is limited to the internet where people know that information is not to be trusted and not fed to children in an environment where they may think this is a serious suggestion.

Nice to see a message that ISN’T hate mail once in a while. But seriously, “direct your anger away from christianism and into your own personal lives”? Firstly, you spelled christianity wrong, second, directing anger inwards won’t do anything productive, unlike this which already has (gave ID a beating in Kansas) And though I may agree this may not be the best place for young minds to visit (there’s a pretty sizeable amount of hatred here too) it’s better than what christianity will do to a mind (remove it).
I have to give you credit though, most christians that post here don’t seem to realize that this is actually a joke.

Seriously is it me or if you don’t believe in the christian god blindly , you are a joke , a lost soul , or ( other hatefull names possible ).You guys believe that we should be good to others , that we should help and love people around us , but if we are not christians , even if you are the person on the earth that gives the most , that help the most , that share the most to others , just because you don’t believe in that god you are crap and will burn in hell … I mean if i can’t put my life in the hands of something that i can’t trust , that i can’t prove the existance or that i don’t see it as a savior but as a mass murderer who never did any good to the civilisation in the last 2000 years , can’t i choose an other option and still try to achieve the same goal that someone who actualy believe in that ” supreme being ” ?I mean if i work as hard as a christian to help people in need , can’t the christian respect me even if he doesn’t respect my ideologies either ?
So i ask this here and now : Why christians , because i never saw any members of other relligions writting hate mails here , write hate mails and insult not just the mighty and powerfull FSM but us , the pastafarians too ?

Christianity is not being singled-out here, though it was a catalyst (see the “Open Letter To Kansas School Board”).
If you want to talk about poisoning the minds of innocent people, please see the documentary “Jesus Camp,” where young minds are trained for a “new army of god” in North Dakota. Maybe then you will direct some of your concern towards your institution and the direction it is going.

Why not? Okay, let’s look at a different belief system. Let’s believe that a snake talked to a woman and made her do something really horrible, something she shouldn’t have—she ate a fruit. After which a supreme being who created everything got ticked off and decided not to forgive the woman or her children or her children’s children or her children’s children’s children (and so on), even though the poor kids hadn’t done anything wrong…
…until…
…the supreme being split himself in two, made a virgin pregnant, then his other half became his son. After the son became a zombie, people had to telepathically commit themselves to this zombie, while symbolically eating him and drinking his blood in a solemn ceremony. After you’ve done this, a ghostly part of you gets to live forever and be happy and you also get to watch the rest of humanity (henceforth labeled as “bad people”) get punished forever in a horrifying fashion.
No… I think I like the plate of pasta and the beer volcanoes and the strippers much better. Thanks anyway.

Anyway, thanks but no thanks.
Don’t pray for me as I really don’t want to be in your gang.
If I was going to pick one of the many pointless religions to follow it probably wouldn’t be yours. I’d more likely go for an original one like the many that yours stole it’s story from.
It’s a good thing there were no copyright laws`all those years ago as christianity would have been sued into bankruptcy for rehashing bits of just about every religion that came before it.
Everything from 25th Dec, virgin birth, 3 wise men to crucifixon and returning from the dead with pretty much most of the in between bits were copied from older religions.

Sure! sounds like you truly understand the potential evil of having fairy tales shoved down the throats of those who don’t beleive in the fairy tales.
I’m sure we can get this site taken down as soon as the strongest fairy tale starts to take a back seat. So I would completely agree with you as soon as we see some action involving:
Removing references to God of fairy tales off of our money
Removing references to God of fairy tales from our pledge of allegiance
Removal of christian proselytizers from our military
Removal of religious holidays as national holidays (you can of course take time off to celebrate whatever holiday you choose, we do)
Removal of national day of prayer (you can of course pray all day every day if you like)
Discontinue funding faith based programs that are not evidence based for their efficacy.
Discontinuing legislation banning actions solely based in religious world views (think prop 8)
This is a start. I’d join in with you on getting this dangerous site taken down as soon as I saw some action on your part.

Dear concerned Christian,
I am concerned about the frequent abuse of the English language by the majority of you Christians who choose to post on this site. It seems to me that while your church(s) teach you all to believe in illogical nonsense and fairy tales, it also seems to be working very hard to also teach you all how to not use proper capitalization when necessary, along with the incessant misuse of punctuation marks. Before you get your panties in a wad about our website, I would suggest instead that you start a new website devoted to proper grammer/punctuation usage for you and your fellow Christian cohorts. And at the same time, I will pray for you all to see this through by the grace of the mighty FSM. May you soon be touched by His Noodly Appendages with the success of your new venture.
RAmen.
