i am concerned

I am concerned. This is a joke, right? i mean, people cannot seriously believe in a dinner option. I believe that this ‘pastafarian-ism’ started as a joke made by a lost soul who is against christianism. but reading this website, this has gone too far. i will not swear or mock your unique form of entertainment like others have, but please stop this madness. direct your anger away from christianism and into your own personal lives. Let us not poison the minds of the innocent people that use the internet. Thank you, and I shall be praying for you all.

    Actually, most christians arn’t ID’ers………
Please don’t judge all christians by actions and words of a few, most of us just want to live and let live, and have no problem with the concept of a flying spaghetti monster……. On the other-hand you have put up what is the equivalent of a lightning rod, one that draws the worst elements to it.

That being said, you all do realise that atheism is in of its self a religion.

Top definitions of Religion as defined by Dictionary.com

    1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
    2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.
    3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions.

Athiesm is the belief in the abscense of a god figure…… which can’t be proven any more than existence.

If you wish to truly be nuetral on the subject, agnosticsism is the way to go.
    a. One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
    b. One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

after all, just as christianity doesn’t have concrete proof in the existence of a god (any kind of god), niether do you have proof of his non-existence, absence of concrete proof, is not proof of absence. This is leaving aside the non concrete circumstances (emotional evidence, coincidental evidence, circumstantial evidence, and my personal favorite… things that fall into the “we don’t know wtf happened” ie inexplicable by all modern means evidence”.

“That being said, you all do realise that atheism is in of its self a religion”
This is ignorant and simply false.
    Athiesm is not a religion.
We have no standard beliefs, practices, or moral code.
Being an athiest simply means to lack a thiestic dogma.
A/an, is a root meaning not, or without.
Examples: atheist, anarchy, anonymous apathy, aphasia, anemia, atypical, anesthesia.

I’m glad there are people like you out there who can discuss your opinions with those who disagree in a civilized manner. You’ve even won me over. I will acknowledge that Atheism is a religion. But it’s certainly one of the more benign ones, and it’s tied for first place in logical merit with agnosticism.

    @Concerned Christian,
If there’s to be any praying here, let’s let it be for the poor, whom you won’t clothe, and the hungry, whom you won’t feed, and the sick, whom you won’t insure, presumably because of the astronomical rent on your megachurch.

When I first came to this site years ago I laughed so hard, laughed harder when I came back. It gives me hope for humanity that we’re not all so stuck in the ways of what we’ve been told. It’s good to see there are so many free thinkers out there. Then I read the hate mail and get depressed all over again. How can there be a positive future for humanity when so many of them are hypocrites who get angry if you question their beliefs, or just believe differently. Personally I’ve always hated the WWJD bracelets because they’re always worn by people who never heed them. I’m guessing all the hate mailers have one on. To everyone else on the site who has a brain and can think for themselves, good job. I hope everything is going well in your lives, and I hope you continue to challenge the cussing Christians. You would think cussing at people is a sin.

how is this a joke? do you think its a joke to believe in God? of which we know if he/she exists or not. I think its a joke to believe in god. at least we can see, eat, and enjoy our God. We KNOW he is REAL, because he is on our dinner plate every now and then. I feel more comfortable being a Pastafarian than a BLIND Christian. so this isn’t a joke, its for real. maybe you should all join the Pasta side????

^.^ Chirstianism? Interesting, because here are some religions that end with ISM:

    Judaism

    Hinduism

    Budism

    … Pastafarianism? I think?

    Confusionism

    hm… Running out of isms.

OH LOOK! Christianim ain’t on that list!

Anyways, dude, people have the right to THINK whatever they want everywhere. It doesn’t mean they have the right in every country to go out and voice it, but since most of the people here are probably american, meh. Freedom of the press yo!

this is the greatest website in the world! I found the one true god! so long christianity, also known as:
The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
